What small DFW things will you do w/c 15th June?

@1LuckyLady I usually chop up and freeze some spring greens when I buy them, because the packs are too big for just the two of us for one meal, and I don't find they keep very well. Also they take up loads of room in the fridge. I just wash, chop and freeze, and you honestly can't tell when you eat them that they weren't cooked from fresh.Hope you feel better soon!5

Thanks for the tip Dawn, the kids will be relieved that they don't have to have it three nights on the trot like I told them!!

Morning, we are in the middle of the week thank goodness, not long to the weekend. Up again at silly o’clock. My body for some reason thinks 4:30 is the new 6am. So spent the first hour with a coffee whilst checking the bank and updating the budget. I managed to do a few bits tidying the lounge but still more to do, but as DD is laying on the sofa, can’t really do much. I really don’t understand why she bothers to get up at 6am, only to come and lay on the sofa to sleep.
Plans for the day:- B/L/D from stores. Chicken and bacon pasta dish for supper today
- 10 minute tidying, trying to follow mothernerd’s suggestion of doing 3 things before I leave a room to make it better than what it was when I entered it.
- Empty dishwasher and refill
- Take the clean laundry upstairs
- Purge emails
- Check for surveys.

Afternoon all
Got quite a bit done so far, now stopped for a rest
I have:Dog walk at 5.30 amHome grown strawberries with breakfastGot straight out in the garden after breakfast and planted out leek seedlings in the space vacated by the broad beans. Also potted on a young blueberry and 2 aubergine plants.Baked scones to use up some milk that was on the turnAlso made pastry, most of which has been converted into a strawberry pie (lots of strawberries and things aren't keeping well this weather) and a quiche shellGot out a portion of vegetable curry and one of chicken Bhuna for dinner later. I will make some flatbreads to go with it, must do that in a minute.I also need to:Update spreadsheet, check banks etcPack 3 items that have sold on ebayGenerally clear and tidy up a bit - OH hoovered through downstairs, which gives a bit of motivationList a couple more bits on ebayMore coffee first I think!5 -
my rubbish sleeping is continuing. Ah well today's list will be an add as I go kind of list so...
In the way of small things, so far I have
Taken sausages out of the freezer for tea, will have with leftover mash, the last of the spring greens and some other veg out of the fridge
Booked a click and collect for Mr T for the 8/7 which means I have a weekly one booked for the next three weeks, same slot each week. I haven't ever done just one weekly shop before but we seem to be better organised this way so will continue.
Checked banking, updated spreadsheet
Sorted out mail email inbox, unsubscribed from lots and put others into folders to make it easier going forward
Sent an email to energy company asking for an updated best price as mse cheap energy club shows I could now save moving to another provider.
updated spreadsheet having seen that our tv licence and water bill direct debits are changing from next month (1 going up, 1 going down
)
Started new Diy inside/outside to do lists
Fridge straightened up (helps with meal planning)
Freezer straightened up and inventory updated (helps with meal planning)
Started a meal planner for the new few days based on what needs using up first
Ordered repeat prescriptions online rather then ringing for dh & ds2
Dug out a birthday card from our stash and will post it using an rm survey stamp
more to follow...

Narola and 1LL hope you’re day is not too bad and you get a decent nights sleep tonight. Lack of sleep is one of the worst things.Weather last few days has been very heavy rain and thunderstorms so gardening has taken a back seat as I’ve been hibernating ☺️Today’s plan:
last of money shuffle ahead of payday tomorrow
some odds and ends out of freezer to make Cumberland pie for tea.Do online order for tomorrow, double check meal plan
start last room that needs sorting, any progress will be good 😄
bake something with smalls
some school work
vacuum through
water indoor plants
some knitting or jigsaw later for relaxation.Have a good day all. Purps.4 -
Morning all
Up early as usual, but it is pouring with rain, so Dog will NOT go for a walk, I was reliably informed. I did persuade him out of the door briefly for a wee, but while he was sniffing round the base of a tree (just outside the gate) in anticipation, a white van passed and splashed him
He then bolted for home. I bundled him out into the back garden in desperation (his more than mine, it has to be said). When he came back in, he headed for his hiding place under a chair and hasn't come out since!Apart from that, I have had breakfast and wrapped an ebay parcel for posting later. Today's plans:Fold up dry washing and put it awayGeneral tidy round, kitchen clean up etcGet the dog out for a walk if it stops raining!Ring butcher and order a pack of chicken breasts - he is doing an offer of 5kg for £17.50, and I am freeing up space in the freezer.Post office with parcels and RM survey itemTuna melts for lunch. Would be cheese and tomato but I have run out of tomatoes.Partridges in red wine sauce for dinner - sounds posh but both were in the bottom of the freezer. The partridges were gifted, and I made the sauce. I will add some mushrooms, also from the freezer. Definitely the weather for some sort of casserole today!Shopping delivery this evening. No watering needed in the garden today at least!4 -
Hi,
It is pouring down here, which is probably good for my allotment potatoes.
I have been decluttering and selling things recently have made £76, and have been doing some surveys. Need to dig out more junk to sell. Ive been braving the loft and have started to clear out stuff that has been up there since we moved in 2013.
Work has been really busy this week, but I have a quieter day today so going to take it easy, I've been getting headaches from being on the laptop for too long.
Need to do dishes this morning
List some old clothes on Eb*y at lunchtime
Leftover veggie sausage casserole for dinner tonight
Have a good day everyone
