I watched a documentary on minimalism yesterday, and realised that I don’t actually think my house is too small, we just have too much in it. By no means am I a hoarder but I’m not really sure why one adult and two children need 17 large plates
(I gave sil about 5 last week too ) going to concentrate on that over the next few days which will a) distract me b)I’m going to make end up with a sparkly house that actually stays tidy (I can live in hope) and c) I’m going to make my fortune on eBay. Everything else is going to the charity/tip at the weekend

Feeling a bit meh today (and the last few days really)
I think it's a combination of bad weather, really busy at work and I've got a deadline for Friday for uni that im only about 60% completed.
I've managed to rebuild my EF to £300 however so back to debt busting I go. I have also managed to save about £30 to knock of my Ctax when I've built it up a little more, I think that might be demotivating me a little too as I'm used to seeing the instant reward of my balances going down usually.
Operation make my millions is in full swing I have nine items on ebay another high value one going on tonight which will go in the Xmas pot if it sells. I made a whopping £2 at the clothes bank on Monday but to be fair it was only one bag. I also took some of the boys vests back to next as we won't be going ahead with the holiday. I got a £12 voucher which I spotted a lovely ceramic pot with a grey bunny on the top (no idea what it was for as it looked like storage for eggs) oooh maybe it was eggs, didn't see the correlation before but Easter bunny and eggs? ....I digress. Anyway, I didn't buy it as my mums birthday is coming up so decided buying her a coaster holder set she saw months ago would be better than a random egg/bunny item
We have had takeaway for tea is my chicken for curry hadn't defrosted properly and didn't want to risk it, I did have enough in my Ynab budget so trying not to feel too guilty about it. God I've ranted on a little haven't I xxxPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.222 -

Lots of ebay parcels posted off yesterday and have planned a trip to hornsea, I've packed a big picnic for when we get there (and still remained in my £75 shopping budget) and have put a curry in the slow cooker for when we get home. Hoping that will reduce the risk of fish and chips or mc donald's on the way home. I've googled free parking so even trying to cut down those costs but we will all be having a. Ice cream lol x hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!!

Hope you have a great time and manage to keep hold of the pursestrings. Curry will be much nicer than Mcds or fish and chips... I can just imagine that gorgeous smell as you walk into the house. Enjoy!

had put the picnic in a chiller box so was all really cold by the time we got to eat it... both ds (4&9) said what a good day they had and we spent the grand total of £6
I paid for ours and parking for my mums car and they treat us to the ice cream. Hopefully something has clicked as previously a day at the seaside would have been at least £50.
You were right the curry is the better option but the salt and vinegar smelt amazing lol, we resisted and now we're home the rice is on for a late tea xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.224 -

Morning all,
I fell asleep at half nine last night which is a first for me, must have been all the sea air! First load of washing in and now need to have a big clean. I'm going to give the financial ombudsmen a chase up as I've still not received any letters or forms regarding the refund or "life assurance" contacted everyday loans who have been equally useless. X

Nsd today, got half the house completely blitzed and made chilli for tea , enough left for dinner at work tomorrow which is always a bonus! Chased up financial Ombudsman Service so hopefully won’t be too long before a reply and have 6 items with bids on eBay. Prolific seems to have gone quiet but helped my partner with his car insurance this aft and he has saved 800£ compared to auto renewing (and it’s the same bloody company) £50pm he will be better off which is great as he is trying his best with budgeting atm too !Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.225
