GB - glad you had a good but tiring wk end with the boys! my ex's parents always helped out with my 2 kids, they was brilliant, it was a shame, my parents didn't do their bit!

Crazychick - so sorry to hear about your friend. What an appalling shock for her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Just to say - having lost my precious watch on Wednesday and asked everywhere I could think of, I put notices up at school, went through the bins, etc. Today I decided that I was making too much fuss about a "thing", however much sentimental value it had, and I was actually becoming resigned to it. Came back from the Advent Service tonight - and DH had found it hidden behind a photoframe on a shelf! I have no recollection of even being near that shelf this past week - but it has really made my day!

    Hello all,

Had trouble getting on this afternoon, none of the forums available.

Crazychik....sorry to hear your sad news.

Hester....not sure how much your lodger is paying you but it isn't enough to keep her in food, never mind any other hassle...good idea to have her buy her own, at least then you would know how much you were getting.

Kyle...go for it, can never understand young women who don't drive...I'd have gone insane when my family were young if I couldn't bundle them all into the car and go.

Grannybroon...glad that you survived the babysitting...short term is fine.

Beemuzed...glad that your watch turned up

    Jayward...hope that you are ok.

Redruby...hope that your bruises clear up...have you any arnica, I think that it helps.

We had some nice ham and cabbage with steamed spuds for dinner and then DD4 made pancakes and I had 2...was deliberately having no pudding but I love pancakes.

Hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to all who are celebrating.

    Marie
