Fingers crossed for you. We haven't heard back yet. Broker submitted the
Initial form yesterday/Monday. She said to allow 2-3 days for a response. She emailed today to say she hadn't heard but will chase it tomorrow 🤞 its so nerve wracking isn't it!!

We got the Vida DIP but it is actually cheaper for us to go with Kensington as they offered us a 5 year fix, whilst Kensington said 2 year fix, so we can change when our credit scores are higher. Vida offered us a higher rate because of this! We have worked hard to increase our scores but still not good enough - we have a loan and cars that will remain but we are paying off a lot during the application process (waiting for a lump sum from bf ex-partner who is buying him out).

That makes sense then. Glad you got the DIP though. We would be happy with a 2 year fixed for now as after 2 years our defaults will be off our credit file and we will hopefully be off the DMP also 🤞 ill settle for anything right now 🙈😂 a family member has built a house and we are struggling to buy it!!

We still haven't heard from Vida. Broker said they had to wait longer as they had to have new logins for the new system or something!? Praying we hear before the Bank Holiday weekend. Nervous wreck waiting for the DIP, don't know what I'm going to be like with an actual mortgage application 😂

Hi everyone, I have received my DIP, and have now submitted our full mortgage application. Does anyone please have any idea the waiting times with this company. I do expect it’s a long wait. I have also been reading some horror stories regarding them taking money off you for a valuation and right at the last minute declining you! Its horrible all this waiting 😞
  • @Joleen23 well done... fingers crossed for you. We are still waiting for our DIP. Broker hopes to hear today 🤞 no idea on timescales either but I'm expecting it to be a few weeks atleast 😩 x
  • @bell2020 Thankyou for your reply.. so nerve wracking isn’t it. PS we got an answer on the DIP pretty much instantly 🤞
  • Hi all, i'm in a similar situation. Got refused with Precise so submitted an application with Vida. Got DIP within a day or so and full application submitted on 25th August. On Friday 4th Sept it was passed to underwriters and they said we should hear back in two working days, which would be today. My nerves are shot! The EA won't mark the house as under offer until we get our mortgage and they have now had another offer. I guess the next stage would be valuation if we get that far!
    Hope you hear something soon.

    Morning Everyone,
We sent away for our DIP with Vida on Saturday 22nd August and got our DIP on Monday the 24th and then sent away mortgage application on Thursday 30th August.....still waiting to hear back at the moment but it’s only been a week.

Little worried we may still get rejected though. They are only taking my partners wage into account as I’m part time work and stay at home dad with our 6 month old at the moment. I still get a part time annual salary but they are not taking that into account. We’re only asking for a mortgage double my partners wage as it’s a help to buy property so affordability is more than fine. I’ve had to be added onto mortgage though as my parents are gifting the deposit. Now my partners bank statements are fine but mine I have an overdraft of £500 and I’m constantly in it every month and they asked for both bank statements. Just wondering if Vida would reject us because of that??

We don’t have anything on finance as a couple apart from our car.

We’ve sent everything across to our Mortgage advisor like proof of deposit even though Vida haven’t asked for it yet so I guess it’s just a waiting game but for some reason I don’t feel confident.
