OK so you applied for New style ESA or JSA? If you had a letter dated 19th May stating you weren't entitled because you hadn't paid the correct NI contributions. What makes you think you're entitled to it now as it's only be a few weeks since you received the letter.
Have you looked into applying for Universal Credit? Savings/capital of £16,000 or more will exclude you from claiming. Have you used a benefits calculator to check entitlement?

No you have got it wrong.
I registered online for JSA on the 19th May but the letter I got a few days ago did not quote JSA but  employment & support allowance for a date in 2018  which is long gone and I probably did'nt have enough conts., then
    I do now
I am worried they they have looked at the wrong date and benefit and wont do anything about my l claim on 19th may 2020

I'm skip reading through the last two pages so many have picked it up wrong but if you have been refused JSA:  to qualify for JSA you will need to have paid enough NI conts in the tax years 2017/18 and 2018/19. Do you have enough contributions from those two years to qualify? Contributions paid in the tax year 2019/20 won't be taken into consideration until the start of the next benefit year, which is January 2021 (which will the be based on contributions from 2018/19 and 2019/20).

That's because the OP hasn't explained anything at all. All we've got so far is information that is very hard to follow. Drip feeding information really doesn't help.

    Wrong!
I have not been been refused JSA:  to qualify for JSA
I had'nt paid the correct NI contributions for employment & support allowance in 2018
I have now paid up my conts and as the qualifying statement says you either have to have class 1 or any other contributions so I qualify for JSA

If you've paid class 3 NI contributions then this won't qualify you for New style JSA. To qualify you will have needed to have worked in the last 2 years.

No - the website says "qualifying statement says you either have to have class 1 or any other contributions"
The letter is still quoting the wrong benefit and wrong year

If you haven't worked in the last 2 years then i'm afraid you won't qualify for New style JSA.

You need to look at claiming Universal Credit, providing you don't have savings/capital of more than £16,000.
A claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming.

aardvaak, apologies they do not have an email for NS JSA, otherwise I would have gladly given you one. But you can use the complaint link and they may give you a generic email address to send something to, if not they will look at your issue or flag it up for you.
I don't take comments to heart about the DWP as some I do agree with, however currently we are doing all we can.
I have been at home since 23/04 as I am classed as vulnerable to covid19, but agreed to work from home so that payments and claims can be processed, I did have the option of taking special leave on full pay, but would rather muck in and help my colleagues out.
My local office probably has 20 people max left at work, with about 2 - 3 times that working from home, with no telephony, so normally where as say 60 - 70 of us woule be able to answer calls it is down to probably 2 -3, as most of the office based staff have to deal with outbound calls, whilst we do the back office work.
In respect of telephony, we are working from home home via VPN on IT equipment provided by the government, but without telephony as thses machines can connect securely through any trusted network.
As such I have full access to the normal DWP IT systems and can process any new claim and deal with all UC queries, but other than journal messages for UC, I am unable to speak with customers, which is frustrating not only for our customers but also for those of us stuck at home as, it is far easier to explain something on the telephone, then it is via a journal or email message, which can take 3 or 4 messages to sort out, rather then a 5 minute phone call.
They are rolling soft phones out via skype, but this is a slow process owing to concerns over the health and safety of homeworkers raised by the unions!
That being said, the JSA line should be open, but as you can imagine, there will be limited resources as the majority of people making new claims, are making them to UC  or ESA.

Just a bit of advice.  As a current member of DWP staff you really should be a little more cautious with the information about the Department you give out.
