I have to speak with the Dept., Works & Pensions re Jobseekers on 0800 1690310.
I have this number on speaker phone and no one answers after 2 hours it cuts off and I have to start again.
Do these numpties ever answer their phones?
Is there any other way to contact these ie email?

Ok thank you I will post in there. And I am too young to make a claim myself and he cannot make a call to them because of his memory loss and he does not have a phone there with him. The universal credit helpline did not advise anything, they told us that they were unable to speak to us.0

Numpties? You realise that a lot of them are furloughed or WFH?

- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere

Yes, true - but I do know that many are WFH and the claims/admin have skyrocketed. Frustrating but the OP sounding off and calling them numpties is not going to help.

Mountains of new claims and making sure payments are made ontime and in full. You can email and/or write to the DWP if you need to.All the call centres are overwhelmed with the colume of calls, we have a virtual service centre to deal with payments to free up some call centres, but it is what it is.1

Even before the Covid19 crisis, it could take hours to get through to DWP. Constant staff cuts, plus call centre staff expected to input information provided in calls rather than passing it on to processing centres and then answering the next call.
