Not quite the Nsd I expected. SIL came after school and the children played in the garden till gone 7. We ended up with a takeaway! It was so nice to see them together and being older not having to remind them too much about staying apart.
I did get 5 loads of washing dry on the line, saving on the dryer.
Now laid in bed, DH snoring away but I can't sleep.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Dh went shopping today after DS1 got up with horrible ear pain and couldn't hear. I rang the doctors and they said to try olive oil first as I can see the wax. He got a few other bits while there and some beer. He spent about £30.
He then called at the unit and fetched the rest of the flooring left from our room, hoping its enough to do the boys room.
I don't know how I thought doing the boys room would be quick. I've spent today boxing up toys and moving them to the conservatory. Hopefully DH can dismantle their beds tomorrow. We were hoping to then paint it but there seems to be a lot of mould patches behind one of the beds that DH needs to look at first. It may cost more than i thought.
Nothing else to really update so better go and get some kiddos in to bed.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Good evening. Spent the morning sorting through some of the girls room so that DS can fit in there for a couple of nights while we decorated.
DH went to fetch a TV for his parents and some milk for us and he was hone a couple of hours trying to install it for them.
I then fell asleep while DH did dinner. So todays only spends was 12 pints of milk (the girls have discovered nesquick!).
DS2 has spent a lot of the day asleep too, hes saying his eye hurts and holding the side of his head. I'm thinking it might be a headache/migraine and have tried him with some paracetamol. I hope that's all it is and he's feeling better in the morning.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

£186 odd paid to bcard today. Nothing else money wise. Although I did win a battle with DH! After fetching the new TV for his parents the other day he's been looking at a new one for us. Yes ours is 11 years old but it works perfectly fine! We also need a new roof, he finally gave in as he realised the roof alone is going to be a struggle but we have water coming through into buckets we have to remember to empty and now a lot of damp and mould appearing on the tops of the outer walls of the house. Hes worked out to do it himself with my dads help (dad did his own last year) will be about £2000. I currently have £700 in the emergency fund.
Its been a quiet day. Got some washing done and living room cleaned for dd2 dance lessons. She usually uses the conservatory but all the boys stuff is still in there. Found out today what house DD3 will be in at secondary school. It seems so real now
Going to have an early night as my Esa forms need to be back next week and I've only just looked at them. Going to get up early and get it done and posted (hopefully).LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Morning. Didn't get to sleep any earlier last night, I am finding it so hard to get to sleep and keep waking in the night and then can't get up in a morning, so was still late up this morning.
Kids have had breakfast and dd2 is in the shower. I've put 4 loads of washing out from yesterday and will set another going once dd is out of the shower. I want to do the same as I did with Dd3 wardrobe a few weeks ago and wash all off Dd2 clothes as they're all on the bottom of her wardrobe and the cats made a bed in it.
I've had a reminder about the esa forms so that has to be todays frog.
DD has just come out so off to set the washer going and send ds1 in the shower (he'll shower even if its ice water).LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

I was just about to claim a NSD then realised DH did the shopping in his way home. Maybe I dont have to count it if I was still in bed 😂
Lots of washing dried. Children have spent the afternoon in the pool and the evening on games and DH has just made pizza and fries.
I have spent the whole day filling in the forms on to paper and then copying them out. My wrist and fingers are killing me. I haven't wrote 8 a4 pages since school 20 years ago. Its ready to post now though.
Need to go and fetch the washing in and watch a film with DH as he is off tonight.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Not much to update. Yesterday was spent in the garden while the children played in the pool for over 4 hours, can't leave them unattended so lots of tea with my feet up in the sun.
Lots of washing out this morning, not sure it will dry as kerps drizzling. DH has been out pulling weeds to fill the garden waste bin that goes out tomorrow.
There has been some spending, £102 on a good matress topper. We are both in absolute agony in a morning and up and down all night. The mattress is only 3 years old so wanted to try a topper before buying a new one. After 2 nights of very little sleep between us we decided to go for it. We had one last year and you cant even tell its there. The one I've ordered is 8cm memory foam so hoping it works.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Another quiet day. Had a meeting at school for DD2, after all the tears about going back in September I'm hoping it put her a bit more at ease. Need to fetch some things from DD3 school tomorrow. After 16 years it'll probably be our last visit to primary school. My babies are all growing up.
Matress topper was supposed to be delivered today but hasn't turned up. Its Still saying its not been dispatched on am@zon.
Should have been a NSD but had to buy some pool stuff after it has gone green. I did get the bigger more tub which was more expensive outright but should hopefully last a while. Weve never had to shock it before, guessing it must be because of the heat.
Going to finish watching this film with DH and going to try and get some sleep.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Good morning. Another school year is done. I need to see what I have ready for September and make a list of what they still need. All logo'd uniform has now arrived (this morning, still need to try it on them) DD3 van have DD2 shirts as she hardly wore them but DD2 has really shot up in the last few months. So think its only shirts for DD2, school shorts (they have school shorts but they're big and baggy so the girls all wear cycling shorts under them, DD2 wears them under her skirts too), trousers, shoes, bags and stationery, I hope!
I did spend £40 on teacher gifts the other day. Ive never really done gifts but after 16 continuous years the youngest has left. I made up a gift box of wine and chocolates and some disposable glasses and all 5 children signed a card. It was dropped at the office for all the staff to enjoy.
I have had a refund on DD3 dinner money of just under £30 cash and a cheque for £30 refund from a school trip. I'll put that in the bank today.
Still no matress, its not even been dispatched yet. I haven't got any further with the boys room either, really need to work on this to try to stick to the goal of one room a month and I could really do with the space back in the conservatory from where we brought all their things down.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

I really need to find a hobby so I don't have to say its been another quiet day 😂 Other than a bit of washing, dishwasher and making a roast pork dinner, i have done absolutely nothing.
I've hopefully put the cheque in online, saving a trip to town. So an extra £30 when it clears. I checked cashback sites and out of about £200 pending on there, 31p is now payable!
I need to cancel CC plus tomorrow. While I'm not going out and DH is doing the shopping we seem to be spending way too much and I don't think we are benefitting from the savings. Ive done an order for tomorrow and hoping it will last a week with just bread/milk top ups as couldn't get extra as used my item limit. Need to find somewhere selling sacks of potatoes as we use a small bag every meal and its working out expensive. Hopefully the farm van will be back in the lay-by soon.
We have got a day out planned for in the week as a treat for all the childrens lockdown birthdays, just the thought of it is making me feel anxious but theyre really looking forward to it. The rest of the week will probably be spent in the garden.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
