A quiet day today after the work meeting yesterday. Nothing spent.
End of month totals are:
Lcard £9112 (not exact, need DH to log in)
Bcard £8300.74
Mcard £2055
Cfinance £893.10
BNPL £1276
Council tax £0 (£523.07 just paid to pay Julys too)
Storage Unit £1000 (was hoping this would be paid, hopefully this week).

I'm hoping to do one room completely a month going forward to try and clear some of the tip and make it look more presentable. The garden also needs major work.
Julys room of doom is going to be the boys bedroom. This is a bit of a cheat as it isn't too bad and I'm hoping seeing it done will give us a boost. Ceiling is like a grit paint and really sharp, especially for DS in the top bunk, weve both had chunks missing out of our hands. We are going to try a thick insulation paper on it, we already have a roll we were going to try in another room if it goes on well we will need one or two more. Will need to wash walls down and paint and gloss (think we have gloss) new blind or curtains, I made them open theirs the other day and its black and the window behind it as they never open it. New floor, DH is sure there is enough of the underlay and laminate left that was used in our room as they have the box room, need to fetch it from the storage unit. Hopefully it can be done quickly and cheaply.
I'm aiming for well under £100 (hopefully). Emptying and putting back will be the most time consuming as the beds are built in frames that will need to come out.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Good evening. Not much to update really.
We went to the DIY store and got paint for the boys room, it cost a bit more than I wanted as it was busy and we ended up on a named section rather than shops own and I really didn't want to fight to go back. Still to start the decorating...
Did spend more on garden things than I wanted but we now have the small garden the children have been waiting for where we buried the cat last year.
DD3 birthday tomorrow so need to wrap her gifts and then off to bed. DH working all weekend so should be a low spend weekend.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Thank you swfcfan. I was also a swfc fan when younger. No idea about football but it was local(ish) so just followed family.

Morning, just. I was still wide awake at 2 this morning and had to drag myself out at 9 as DD was desperate to open her presents. We don't usually see her until lunch time. They are now building lego while I'm under the blanket with a cup of tea.
DH did some shopping this morning, there was only bread, tiger rolls (DD2 that doesn't eat had asked for them) and Toblerones on the list (i didn't realise the children hadn't tried it until i got DH one for his birthday and they all tried it and asked for one) so I'm not sure how he managed to spend over £30! He is definitely the downfall for grocery spending.
I think I might need to go and look on the OS boards for some quick/easy/cheap meal ideas. We are eating the same things all the time 1 as I have no idea what to do and 2 I'm just so so tired to try new things.
I've also moved DD1 board for the ladt 2 months to a savings account. I feel to guilty spending it when she hasn't even been home since March and now doesn't think she is coming home. They are saving for a house so if i can manage without using it I'll either give it back to her as a surprise or use it to buy them things for the house. I know if I give it her now it will ho on clothes she doesn't need and Takeaways.
I better try and get some cleaning done and make DD3 cheesecake for her birthday cake.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

What a windy night! We had the window slightly open and it was whistling through. I was wide awake at half 6 and still awake when DH came in at 7 but must have fell back to sleep because the next time I looked it was almost half 9. This seems to be the new 'normal ' wake up time. We will struggle when the girls go back to school.
DD3 had a lovely day building lego and playing Minecraft. And mummy's cheesecake for pudding.
DH has taken £600 out of the bank ready to pay the unit. If I can try to add to it and get it to about £1500 we should be in front for a couple of months.
We were watching the news yesterday of everyone off on holiday/days out and to the pub. The thought scares me! We are quiet happy in our own little bubble for now. We have arranged for SIL to come in the week as her girls are the same age as DD3, they're in the same class at school and DD has really really missed them. It has made me anxious having someone other than DD1 here but I know we will have to leave our bubble at some point.
My little sis wedding is also going ahead at the end of the month so need to get everything sorted for that. We had left it as she didn't know until Friday if it would be going ahead. So clothes and gift needed.
DS is asking for me to cut him some tiger bread so I better go.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Good evening. A NSD here. I struggled to grt going but then managed to help DD3 get most of her clothes sorted and away (I emptied them all out of her drawers and rewashed a few weeks ago as the cat had made a bed and everything was covered in white hairs) they had been on the sofa for way too long.
Then helped her make a message for her teacher. One of the children is going to have a go at putting them all together in a video.
While doing that I forgot about dinner so the meat was frazzled, then burnt my arm on the potato pan and then the potato masher snapped! That has to be my 3 right?!
Started boxing up the toys in the boys room ready for decorating. They already have a huge box of rubbish/old school books and we've only done a bit.
I did put a load of washing out but every couple of hours we've had a really heavy downpour, never managed to catch them dry. I've left them there until tomorrow.
Right I am going to attempt an earlier night and try to get up with the alarm in the morning (I'm not even hearing it!)LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Morning. I was still awake at 1am as after posting I started reading through diaries and got carried away.
DH came in at 7 and I was getting up but must have dropped off again as it was gone 9 when I came down.
Checked the bank and nothing changed. Today should have been a carers allowance payment but as I swapped to esa its not there today. Think I may have messed up the esa too, it scares me and I haven't even opened the letters 😥 and not had a payment since the first £20.
Today should be a NSD as DH will be in bed most of it and I'm not going anywhere.
Right need to go finish my tea, shower DS2, get the girls up and put some washing out.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Just a quick post DH credit card statement has arrived and its a bit less than I thought above, it is currently £9020.54. Just wanted to put it here so I had it for the end of the month. There is a note on there that the 0% ends on 25th August too but it doesn't say if its for the full amount or part so will need to try and BT that at the end of this month.
The Bcard also has £1943 that the 0% runs out on 1st sep. This will be a bit less by then as the min payment of about £180 will come out twice before then.
DS2 showered, shouted girls but they are refusing to get up, 2 loads of washing out and another ready and one rinsing (i did loads at the weekend as was supposed to be nice yesterday afternoon, it wasn't so it didn't go out, its all had a quick re wash).LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
