Thank you Sam. Was so much easier when they were having work set last time. If they were struggling I could say do the next lesson while I do this then I'll come and help you but because its live (and neither will ask their teachers for help) I have to be there at that exact time. I do like the idea of the live classes, they just aren't confident enough to do them.
DS is home Ed anyway and I'm struggling to get his things organised and ready. Hopefully as they get used to it they'll be more confident to ask teachers for help.
Forgot a spend earlier, £5.94 on a book that their primary school teacher has written and just been released. Ordered at 9 last night and it arrived around lunch time.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

DH did the shopping this morning and spent just over £40. He left the receipt in the car but I've worked out the pet food bits were £21.25 and the rest was £20.39 but I need the receipt to see what of that was his beer as I've been tracking that separately.
Spent an hour on the phone to DD1 earlier and half hour decluttering the bathroom and folding the washing from the airer in there. 15 items have left so far. Have done absolutely nothing else except drink way to much tea under a blanket on the sofa.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Well it's been over a week again. I've been struggling and given up with pretty much everything and just sat at the table with the girls from 8.30-3 DD3 needs constant help (attention) has a complete melt down if I go to help the others. DD2, I thought was getting on with it, I ask regularly if she needs help and she always says no. Was looking at some of her books yesterday and for some lessons she's got just 1 sentence or 4 sums done in a whole lesson. She said she doesn't understand any of it and wouldn't get help at school so hasn't asked at home. I feel bad for not noticing how far behind she was and trying to sit with her even when she 'doesn't need help'.
Only spends have been food shopping and fuel. 1 debt payment (only 3 payments left on the sofa!) And mil birthday present and M+FIL 50th anniversary present.
Children have realised it's my birthday next week, usually it goes by unnoticed but they keep asking what daddy is getting me so they can wrap it so might have to tell him to get something.
Then DD2 is 13 in a couple of weeks. She has no idea what she would like yet though.
My money saving obsession did cause a small argument with DD1 yesterday. When she moved in with her BF and his friends in first lockdown she was putting £200 in to her car account and £200 into her help to buy. She paid her insurance in full the other day and then said she only had a couple of hundred left in that account. I know its her money to spend how she wants but as she had been asking us to help with a house deposit a couple of months ago I questioned the savings (if she had still been payingit she should havehad about 2k in the car and almost 4k in the help to buy). She has the same (or possibly less) as when she left here almost a year ago. I asked about the money she was supposed to be putting into the accounts but she just kept saying that living is too expensive and she can't afford it. I was trying to explain that we get tge exact same money (she works with DH) and that we manage to pay the mortgage, car, feed and clothe 6 people.... and I've managed to put 2k away for the roof in just a few months.
I hate that I got so involved but I can see her spending habits on clothes and takeaways/ready meals and don't want her to end up in the debt we did and being stuck in a shared house for years.
Well that ended up way longer than I planned! Better go and sort some children.

Just been looking at our energy tariff as the deal has now ended. I'm not sure what to do.
There's a new small company that would save us 309 a year but I'm wary of them being new. U P would save us £301 but they're in the news for the problems with credit refunds at the moment. Then the next would a move to igl00 or stay where we are on the newer tariff as both about the same.
I think I'm swaying between new tariff where we are, saving £190 or risking the switch to U P to save the £300 a year.

Well almost another week gone. DH did a shop Monday morning and I've spent nothing else all week. Have had dd for £25 come out to cc's.
Tomorrow might be a spend day as need a sack of potatoes and a few bits to last until my shop comes Sunday. It's also my birthday Sat, usually I ignore it but the children have remembered so and keep asking what dad has got so they can help wrap it, so I've told him to just pick up a box of chocolates or something but won't be too much.
I will do a proper check on Sunday after the shop but loving account at the minute. Lots of savings in there at the moment and offsettingit againstthe debt the app says we havejust under 8k if I paid all savingsto debt (there's a lot for car insurance, mot etc that are all due soon). Although DH has been looking at a set of good hairclippers for the dog and trying to do it ourselves (saving £50 every 6-8 weeks) and we really need to replace the shed. We have also been looking at buying a tent. I know its a bit of a payout but would make future holidays cheaper and allow us to do some mon-fri in the holidays when DH can't have time off.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

I'm back to try again. But at least you don't have to read about my rant and huge meltdown that I had typed a huge post about last night, as I've calmed down a bit now.
Need to finish the online order for tomorrow and then I can sort the bank accounts for the end/beginning of month. We ate having the boiler serviced on Friday so that's £60 to pay but I think that's it for the week. Need a massive clean through though, they can't even get to the boiler 🙈😳
Sam, can't guarantee no washing as I've not done any all week luckily we haven't even made it out of pjs.
I will try and catch up on everyone's diaries this week too.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
