Thank you Sam. Was so much easier when they were having work set last time. If they were struggling I could say do the next lesson while I do this then I'll come and help you but because its live (and neither will ask their teachers for help) I have to be there at that exact time. I do like the idea of the live classes, they just aren't confident enough to do them.
DS is home Ed anyway and I'm struggling to get his things organised and ready. Hopefully as they get used to it they'll be more confident to ask teachers for help.

Forgot a spend earlier, £5.94 on a book that their primary school teacher has written and just been released. Ordered at 9 last night and it arrived around lunch time.

  • DH did the shopping this morning and spent just over £40. He left the receipt in the car but I've worked out the pet food bits were £21.25 and the rest was £20.39 but I need the receipt to see what of that was his beer as I've been tracking that separately.

Spent an hour on the phone to DD1 earlier and half hour decluttering the bathroom and folding the washing from the airer in there. 15 items have left so far. Have done absolutely nothing else except drink way to much tea under a blanket on the sofa.

Just been looking at our energy tariff as the deal has now ended. I'm not sure what to do.
There's a new small company that would save us 309 a year but I'm wary of them being new. U P would save us £301 but they're in the news for the problems with credit refunds at the moment.  Then the next would a move to igl00 or stay where we are on the newer tariff as both about the same.
I think I'm swaying between new tariff where we are, saving £190 or risking the switch to U P to save the £300 a year.

  • Well almost another week gone. DH did a shop Monday morning and I've spent nothing else all week. Have had dd for £25 come out to cc's.
Tomorrow might be a spend day as need a sack of potatoes and a few bits to last until my shop comes Sunday. It's also my birthday Sat, usually I ignore it but the children have remembered so and keep asking what dad has got so they can help wrap it, so I've told him to just pick up a box of chocolates or something but won't be too much.

I will do a proper check on Sunday after the shop but loving account at the minute. Lots of savings in there at the moment and offsettingit againstthe debt the app says we havejust under 8k if I paid all savingsto debt (there's a lot for car insurance, mot etc that are all due soon). Although DH has been looking at a set of good hairclippers for the dog and trying to do it ourselves (saving £50 every 6-8 weeks) and we really need to replace the shed. We have also been looking at buying a tent. I know its a bit of a payout but would make future holidays cheaper and allow us to do some mon-fri in the holidays when DH can't have time off.

  • Thank you Sam.
Just wrote a long post and it all disappeared! Suppose I shouldn't be surprised after the day I've had. Going to try to sleep and will try again tomorrow.

  • I'm back to try again. But at least you don't have to read about my rant and huge meltdown that I had typed a huge post about last night, as I've calmed down a bit now.

Need to finish the online order for tomorrow and then I can sort the bank accounts for the end/beginning of month. We ate having the boiler serviced on Friday so that's £60 to pay but I think that's it for the week. Need a massive clean through though, they can't even get to the boiler 🙈😳

Sam, can't guarantee no washing as I've not done any all week luckily we haven't even made it out of pjs.
I will try and catch up on everyone's diaries this week too.
