Just caught up! You’re doing so well! I can’t believe how many selection boxes you’ve had to buy! Great that the debts keep going down!2

Thank you for your posts. Sorry I've been quiet. Struggling a bit this month, I think having to spend money for Christmas and watching my little bit of savings dissappear isn't helping, feel like the grinch lol
Just sorted the bank for next Month and wanted to post my (very small) update before going to bed.

Not a grinch
it's just been an abnormal year. Don't be too hard on yourself as the debt is going down and that is amazing. Remember that doesn't even matter if it goes up a little as long as you don't overtake your start total
It's just the pressure of December and it's only one day after all
Thinking of you. Sam

Thank you Sam. Definitely won't be adding to the debt this year for Christmas, maybe for the new roof though if I can't save enough by spring. I don't think it will last much longer.
Was thankful for the emergency fund last week, although it was for sad circumstances, it was good to know we had the money to pay the vets without trying to find the money (it wasn't as much as I was thinking as they couldn't save our old kitty, so less than £50, but I knew he could have any treatment he had needed).
Tonight I gave in to takeaway. I'd been asleep on sofa and felt ill when I woke so when they asked, I ordered 🙈. Tier 3 for us tomorrow so not much change here, I am really missing DD1 now though.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

It's fine to have takeaway lol I know it's a real treat for you all especially after the sad news. Only get one life don't spend to much of it kicking yourself.

Hoping to be back properly for 2021. I have really struggled the last couple of months.
I have just finalised the accounts for 2020 and if I paid every single penny I have (bank account/savings/yearly bills etc) to the cards we would now be just under £10k in debt. Maybe when that gets to zero I might just do it and work on the savings again after.
Wishing you all a fantastic new year and see you all in 2021!LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Thank you. Sam.
Well DH went to bed ages ago. Kids are in their rooms watching TV. So I've made a start, joined the grocery challenge thread.
I've been making some plans for the year ahead, decorating and decluttering are high on the list.
Top of the list though I think might have to be me. Losing weight, exercise, stopping so much social media, getting out from under the blanket and showered and dressed (this very rarely happens lately, my pyjamas are a permanent fixture) and try to get my mental health under control.
I think if I can sort me, everything else might follow.
I would also like to get the debt to under £15k by the end of this year but as we need so much doing to the house (would love to get rid of the buckets in the loft!) It may not be possible.
Right, starting on my health, I'm going to try to sleep before 2am.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Well I was still up at 2am... trying to tell the girls to go to sleep! They were wide awake. I set the alarm for 8 but think it was closer to 9 before I climbed out. I've just shouted the girls in the hope they sleep earier tonight.
No change in the bank this morning, I paidthe last council tax payment last night so that's now pending.
Today will be the first NSD of January.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

NSD today but DH will pick bread up in the morning so tomorrow won't be. Can guarantee he won't just get bread.
Struggling with the girls, dd2 has always been a bad eater and lives off the same meal every day. Dd3 has always been so good but is now refusing everything as she's 'fed up with it' or she decides she feels sick. Must look for new recipes.
Took most of the decorations down today. Cleaned some of the living room then ran out of energy. Will try again tomorrow. 3 loads of washing done and I'll do the dishwasher before I go to bed. It will get tidy, even if it is very slowly.
I have stayed off f@ce book all day, but spent a lot of time on here reading instead. Going to do dishwasher now and try to sleep.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
