Walt Disney World Resorts offer different offers and ticket types to International markets and even to the U.K. market.
I doubt they will cancel Disney Dining for only some of the markets, while allowing others markets to eat.
The UK and certain international markets have slightly different offers and ticket types to other markets or domestic sales.
Things like 14 days of Disney Parks for the price of 7, free Disney Dine, Free Disney spends are all promotions targeted at the UK market. You will probably never find one or two day ticket only sales to the UK market, but will for the domestic US market. The German market has access to three day/four day tickets, rarely presold in the UK.
The thread title about Disney Dining, the topic is about Disney Dining, my comments are about Disney Dining, my reply to you was about Disney Dining, seems a very clear context.
Westin's comments made perfect sense, not sure why you are spoiling for a fight...

Deleted as my post didn't help OP and to a person that hadn't read the whole thread.

Me and my family are in the exact same position, our balance of £14000 is due at the end of the month, we are booked with Tui through a local travel agent. Having contacted them about where we stand all we get back is :- your holiday is still going ahead , you can change the booking to next year for £50 a person but there is no free dining on so if it came back you would have to pay admin fee again to change holiday again, or otherwisewe can lose our deposits. Having heard how bad the companies are at giving cash refunds who would pay the full balance in anticipation that the holiday might not go ahead. We similarly dont want to go this year and maybe even next, we are giving it a week hoping that Disney Uk will make an announcement in our favour.1

I appreciate that you're booked through an agent, however the point is that Disney themselves clearly accept this is a major change/refund situation. And that's what I'd be arguing with your TA - you should not be pressured into rebooking!1 -

It seems TA here want to drag their feet and not tell people that they are due a refund as the has been a significance change, and would certainly a price increase high than the 8% allowed if dining is no longer included.

In my head I think it's rather clear, as explained in this thread. We have had a major/significant change to our package, and hence under UK regulations, and likely the travel agent's own Ts & Cs, I believe we are legally entitled to a full refund with no cancellation fee. But for some reason I think they are delaying - maybe to come up with a plan to offer us an incentive to stay with them, I just don't know!?!?!
barneysmum1234 - have you tried copy and pasting my letter on the previous page and sending it to them?
I have since had an email direct from Disney telling me that the DDP is cancelled, and despite me trying to explain this to Ocean Florida, this is the latest correspondence from them:Dear Mr Burns
Apologies in the delay getting back to you, at the moment we are still waiting on Disney to release their information on how on site guests will be affected by the changes Disney are making to their resorts and parks. Please rest assure as soon as we have this information we will be contacting our customers to discuss the options available.
Should you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards,
I have politely written back to them telling them my thoughts, again:
Thanks for your email. Yesterday I received an email from Disney stating that the Disney Dining Plan is cancelled, amongst other things. So it is on their website, and now I have received an email from Disney, so I am still at a loss as to why there is ambiguity over what is going on.Your email below refers to how this will affect on site guests, but if the Dining Plan is cancelled, we won't be an on site guest as we won't be there.Again, please can I request that due to a significant/major change to our holiday that we qualify for a full refund without cancellation fee?
I am not 100% sure how we progress this further, as it feels like we are at an impasse. How can I prove or disprove what they are saying about them not getting info/confirmation from Disney? Anyone - can the big man Martin Lewis give us some advice here? It feels like we need a bit of oomph behind us. I don't believe we are trying to be unreasonable but sometimes a bit of 'watchdog' pressure might be like a helping hand? Is there a way of raising this to the website rather than this just being a discussion thread?1 -
It must be willful ignorance at best, I can not see Disney withhold info from travel agents, yet plastering it on their own website and e-mailing people affected.
Have the TA a motive not to tell you, yes they have, as it allows them to keep your money rather than giving refunds.
You are right as you can not prove the TA knows, but I feel it would be a different story if it was in their interest to tell you.

Maybe a tweet works better, but that's not my forte.
