Al Rayan rate drop & App login problems

I have just logged in fine online via Chrome & using the app to authorise access.tel_ said:
It's not the app that's the problem, the message comes up when logging in online via a web browser - chrome & IE.colsten said:App has been working fine for me, on an iPhone, as recently as just now. It was also working this morning. Are you using the latest version of the app?0 -
Thanks for checking on a web browser colsten.colsten said:

Why is it that I feel confident logging in to accounts with my other providers, but Al Rayan I don't.
I like the fact you don't have a linked account them. You can choose to send money to any bank account, which is so convenient, but the security side of things, I just don't fully trust.0 -
The login security seems adequate though. More robust than many providers who rely on the linked account concept.tel_ said:

I've accessed my Al Rayan account a few times in the last week, using a desktop browser (Firefox) with the Digipass off-line authentication device: I've experienced no unusual problems. A transfer-out of several thousand pounds on Friday was successful.
I'll be keeping the account!

Rate reduces to 1.15% on 21 August - might as well transfer to NS&I Income bonds and lose the hassle of the horrid little gadget.

NS&I does not do SOs or future-dated withdrawals, nor can you get money into or out of NS&I on the same day, nor can you send money to more than your nominated account, nor does the 1.15% NS&I account permit deposits or withdrawals for less than £500, nor does the 1.15% NS&I account compound interest, nor does everybody use the horrid little gadget for Al Rayan. For those needing face-to-face contact, Al Rayan even has Branches.xylophone said:I'll be keeping the account!Rate reduces to 1.15% on 21 August - might as well transfer to NS&I Income bonds and lose the hassle of the horrid little gadget.
On the downside, Al Rayan only has deposit protection up to £85k, and the 1.15% version of their Everyday Saver is only for existing customers. I will definitely remain to be one of them for the foreseeable, as the benefits vastly outweigh the disadvantages for me.2 -
I tried again this afternoon but still no joy.
I decided to take the plunge and see if I could register and access my account using the mobile app. Thankfully, the process was straight forward and smooth, and I gained access to view on my mobile.
Whether I can access now via my PC remains to be seen. I'll try in the week.0 -
Well done, glad you could activate the mobile app w/o issues.tel_ said:I tried again this afternoon but still no joy.

Perfectly true and I could get to one but who wants the fag of a trip up to town, particularly under current circumstances?
Perfectly true - but I do and I hate it.
nor does everybody use the horrid little gadget for Al Rayan.
