Al Rayan rate drop & App login problems

I had to call Al Rayan once as I had an issue logging on. It took me several half hour calls before I got to speak to someone. I still can’t logon to the web version but the app works fine and that’s okay for me.

I may have been unlucky but I would be wary of any product more complicated than their instant access account.

You can make early withdrawals / transfers out at a penalty (profit rate, not interest rate). See 18.4 in their ISA T&Cs.

It's not worth starting a new thread but I've requested £14k be transferred from Al Rayan to FD today but about 5 hours later it still hasn't arrived. Outward payments do sometimes take  while but I haven't withdrawn more than a few hundred pounds since early April. I don't necessarily need it urgently but it would be somewhat reassuring for it to arrive today (although I do realise that tomorrow is within guidelines).

Does anyone have some recent experience of withdrawing this sort of sum from them?

I withdrew £20k last week, followed by another few thousand next day. Both transfers arrived within the hour in my current account. 

I have lots of SOs on my account, all going out on the same day. One month, w/o any warning, none of the SOs arrived in the target accounts but had been debited on my AR account. When I called, it turned out they'd put a stop on the payments to verify them. They asked me a few Qs, then released the money. I reckon they'll just carry out a random check on you and your money probably arrives by the end of today.

Thanks. You’re probably right. I withdrew £40k over two consecutive days in April without issue so it’s frustrating not to have it sorted immediately. 

I’m currently on hold with FD on another issue (fast approaching the hour mark) so don’t have the energy to call AR so will leave it until tomorrow.

To update - The money arrived at FD okay in the end. All's well that ends well.

Anyone had problems logging in to Al Rayan over the past few days?

I use their Authentication app to sign in via the website, but since Wednesday, all I get is 'There seems to be a problem'.

Over the past two months, I've had no issues logging in. Now it looks like the gremlins are back.

I have the horrid little gadget and hold my breath each time I log in  ....haven't collapsed yet but it's been a close run thing.

I shall close the account once the interest rate reduces.

App has been working fine for me, on an iPhone, as recently as just now. It was also working this morning. Are you using the latest version of the app?

It's not the app that's the problem, the message comes up when logging in online via a web browser - chrome & IE.
