Ooh, sounds amazing! Are you full of new ideas of where you are heading for the future? Perhaps I should send OH on one of these courses!
Would it make me do my housework? If so, send me the details and I will be signed up quicker than you can say "flylady"Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Oooh new diary! I too came clean about a debt last week that I haven't ever counted - my £1100 overdraft. I just never saw it as a debt before because we have always been in it. It just felt like our money. Of course, it isn't so I have now included that in my debt total and have started attacking it at long last. Feel better for it too.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

well this is quite long so i hope i dont loose it ...i did this same course last year and whilst i didnt think i gained much out of it i felt it was the ideal course for someone who was going through a transisiton in life ...i found myself going through said transisition this year so booked up again ...i went expecting things and knowing things but came away realising that last year the year i thought i didnt need was a huge transition for me and this year was an affirmation that i am on the right path but with the added twist that what i thought i knew wasnt right i now what's right and have a much clearer vision ...dont want to take over your diary so if anyone wants to talk about it feel free to p.m me i will answer any q's fill you in etc but what i will finish with is i would recommend everyone to do this or something similar0

Sounds excellent, El, and how good that you have been able to confirm that you are on the right track :T
Mrs Spendalot - we didn't count our overdrafts either, because they are just "normal" living! Of course debt is debt, and our overdrafts attract interest etc just like other debt, so we need to get shot of it as soon as poss!
I have to say, I feel as motivated now, as I did at the start of the journey - I obviously need to have regular LBMs!!
Have just spent 20 mins or so clicking on surveys that arrived in my inbox - cannot believe I have let these pass on by without so much as looking at them! I need to get into the clicking habit!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hi there
Good to hear the positive tone hypno, you have sounded so weary of late.
I think it was when I accepted my overdraft was a problem that my true lightbulb moment happened. I used to live in my overdraft which had a 5k limit and 18% interest.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi Seax - just caught me before I head off for an early night! Tiredness has caught up with me in the last half hour or so, so need to get some sleep, otherwise a grumpy old cow, I will make
Isn't it strange (or maybe not) how we think that we are comfortable with the debt that we are working on, but that in due course, we feel the need to add more in - really shows that this whole thing is a "journey" and that it is not always as simple as having one LBM sending us to this site!
Goodness only knows how the next "phase" of my journey will hit me.....doesn't bear thinking about, unless I am able to become an MFW, in which case I will be very excitedSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=616291 just posted the new flylady thread if you're feeling brave in the morning. There might be other bits and pieces on the OS forum which could help save you money and reach these targets.
Thanks for the book recommendation, have just ordered it, hmm DFW board costing me a fortune today....One day I might be more organised...........

Yes it is strange. I feel that I had a long journey before I found this site too - but finding it, and the community support, has helped so much.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
