Morning all
Off to spread good cheer and sell photos of little darlings with Santa later. I think I've worked out all the ways to get people cheaper deals now-like when they want a photo and 2 fridge magnets-I can use a package that is meant to be a photo, keyring and a magnet-which saves them a fiver and I give them the extra little photo that prints out over for their wallets. Will bug-ger up the stock-take no end but that won't be my worry and it's my little bit of MSE-ing for others.
Co-op have now refunded my home insurance TWICE-once to a card and once by cheque. Need to sort that out-originally it was a double charge but we did discuss me cancelling it entirely and resubmitting the application as their software didn't track it to Quidco (their admitted mistake) so need to check I actually am still covered !
Will be around for a housework challenge tomorrow as promised
Spoke to the ex yesterday to re-arrange when DS is going to him Christmas week (want him out the way before the carpet fitter arrives for his new bedroom so he sees the entire "new" bedroom for the first time on Christmas day itself when he returns) and ex DH told me he was having trouble finding me a good deal on the breadmaker I'd asked for. Took great pleasure in telling him about the £39 Panasonic deal on Amazon (which I hadn't mentioned before as I thought he'd already got me one) so definitely getting a good breadmaker now as he looked it up whilst I was on the phone :)
Have a great Saturday all xx

:coffee: :rotfl: :coffee: :santa2: There must be a smiley somewhere for me and ISOM following each other! And hypno, now I've come back to your thread and read that, I'll have to have another cuppa coffee before I go out, you're so cruel ... :rotfl: :T I've been off adding things up: my Olympic Challenge came to either £674 or £620, depending on whether you add it up by weekly totals or total totals - this kind of "attention" to detail is what got me out of the finance industry, big oops there. Anyway, its well over £600, so I'm chuffed. That makes ..... a grand total of £122.27 for the £20k in 08 challenge. Okay, I'm a bit behind! But its not all extras like the Olympic Challenge, hypno said so, so I'll also count in the credit card repayment and the loan repayment, as well as the mortgage overpayments.

I'm going to copy this and my Olympic post onto my diary - don't bother looking at my diary today, folks, you'll think you're seeing double :rotfl: :o

No the £20k challenge is not "pay off an extra £20k" challenge - I think that would be slightly more difficult  It does include all normal repayments but most of us need to find extra to allow us to pay off the full £20k next year.

Most cards are now written - need addresses for a few but have put the cards in the envelopes and written names on, so just need to hunt down the addresses and add them on.

Housework blitz challenge def still on for tomorrow afternoon, Duchy - I want to be clear enough to get the tree up tomorrow evening. Good idea about the DFW photo package.....good for you!

Hope you all rose to your challenge of the christmas cards. Alas I have to say I dont seem to get motivated at all. Still havent even bought mine. Bought the ones for my son to give to his friends. Even sorted out the presents for him to give to ex-hubby and his new wife. Yet for my stuff? Way behind. Maybe your enthusiasm will rub off on me soon!!

Evening hypno - hope you've got all your cards done. I did mine last week but i've still not posted them yet so that's definitely Monday's job. Not sure if I've left it too late for second class - does anyone know?

Duchy - we've ordered the same breadmaker from Amazon so can't wait for it to arrive now.

Right, just finished work and need to get ready to go out now should really go and make an effort. I've got my priorites right and checked in on here first. Have a good evening xx

Hello!! Just got back from work.

The cards did get written this morning, but still not posted......a job for Monday.

A busy busy day at the bar - very glad to get home. Managed not to buy food when I was there, so am starving now! X factor is on, and the sofa seems a good place to stay for a few hours!

I hope you have all had a good day x

Well done for getting your cards written - mine are still scowling at me from their vantage point of the kitchen shelf. I think I really ought to start my Xmas preparations in January next year!

Ah, but Snaggles are you aware that the only reason I am organised enough to HAVE cards to send this year is because I never got round to writing the ones I bought for LAST Christmas :o:o:o:o
