    Morning all
Having a lovely lie-in DS brought me coffee so am still lounging in bed with the lappie.
Bank statement on-line yesterday showed (tiny) mortgage had gone out of current account but letter from mort co said it hadn't and would be represented on 22nd and they'd added £20. Very annoyed as I made a point of checking it was showing on the statement so need to get that mystery sorted. Grrrr
DS discovered the joys of sking this year with school starting dry slope lessons-he hates group sports usually but loves this. I rang up and they assessed him yesterday sadly he's just below the level of achievement for open sessions so I can't take him next week -perhaps as well I skied twice a season until he was born and haven't skied since so I think I'm going to suffer bigtime doing it again. I might try one of their coffee morning sessions once the kids are back and get a bit of practice in before going with him. This is a good activity for him as his Dad has just discovered snowboarding (the current girlfriend skis) and lives close to the Sandown slope so DS could go regardless of if it's a home or away weekend once he's good enough for open sessions.
Working this afternoon and evening and again tomorrow so making the most of this morning.

duchy, he will soon be good enough for open sessions, I am sure. Perhaps a chat with whoever assessed him could give pointers as to what he needs to improve on, then you could work on that specific area?

Yes from the assessment they gave him I reckon he's one or two lessons (so 2 weeks) away. If I really wanted him sking this week I'd just shell out for a private lesson (scary price) but it isn't essential. I'm thinking of seeing when appropriate lessons run and get him into group lessons-bit of a budget buster but I think it's justifiable. We're visting Park City in the summer-hopefully we won't fall in love with the place and want to return in the winter though ;) (Mind you with low fares and a weak dollar it's cheaper than a lot of Europe)

One or two lessons is not bad is it - he will be up and running by the end of the month.

Well done to the Hypno kiddies what are they going to do with the money? and they both won ..so double good news
  • How things can change in a couple of days :D

Strange how we don't know each other but it made me smile and feel happy that things have progressed even more in the right direction for you and although winning of money is great for the kids the pure achievement of it must do wonders for their confidence.

The kids seem so motivated, I wonder where they get that from ;)
And I know the money situation is not how you would wish it but the children must be learning alot of valuable lessons from it including the value of money and a good work ethic so there is always a positive to every negative.

Have a good day at work.
