Totally with you on that one Hypno ... I watched supersize me last night and have been watching several of these channel 4 programmes this week, I've been checking out local farm shops online tonight but I know theres no way I can afford to buy it all from there. I will however not be buying the cheap crappy stuff ... it is scary when you do read the ingredients on stuff, hardly anything other than fresh fruit and veg is to be trusted ....Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Well, I am just looking at chicken houses for people with small gardens.........
DD asked to keep chickens last year and my response was "don't be daft". However, having watched these programmes, I am seriously tempted to look at it later in the year.
I wish I could afford to buy lots of lovely organic food, but I can't. I will, however, be seriously thinking about what we do buy, and will be planning my meal plan accordingly.

Can't afford holidays anyway!! When I take the kids skiing, OH stays at home. Also DD has friends who keep chickens so she could always arrange the chicken-sitter!
I am considering using my "sealed tin challenge" money to buy an eglu and a couple of chickens, later in the year.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I would love to do that. Ours isn't a chicken-friendly neighbourhood though, I don't think. But I could see myself being all 'Good Life' with my organic vegetable patch, and my chickens wandering around the garden, and my organic wine brewing in the store room. Ahhhhhh....:)"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Hi Hypno, I have a deposit sat in Thomas Cook for an expensive holiday I had to cancel following my LBM, they are letting me use it for another hol of my choice. I really fancy skiing early next year but none of my friends want to go. Is it the sort of hol you could go on your own? Would a chalet be better for social activities (... not those type SS
)
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0
