If they said they would intervene with housing then that is what they need to do. There are enough pressures on your family without adding inadequate housing to the mix. It's in their interests for you to keep sane after all. I would definitely get your MP and local counciller involved too-all the support you can-and housing and social have different targets once MPs are involved and need to resolve faster to reach them (and get far more grief if they don't).
I'm another MIA this week-training is going well. Decided it would be useful to have a 2nd phoneline but didn't fancy BT's over £100 instalation charge so rang Virgin and got a really unhelpful person so rang disconnections dept and asked them if they were trying to drive me away to Sky ? Net result was a 2nd phoneline-free instalation and total cost a month of minus £2 on my current package. Not bad considering I already get £23 a month discount off my bill from a previous conversation with them last year.
Off to London tomorrow for the day for a day with the girls (and some chap called Merrill Osmond).
Off to give the desk a really good tidy-as it looks more like home tip than home office at the moment and I really can't work like that on a daily basis and to get the washing on-DS is off to his Dad's today for the weekend.

I think that's the point Mooloo you've been promised the support and shouldn't NEED to be shouting to get what was promised. I'm sure it's very complicated as it is such a unique situation and probably frustrating for the social workers too but ultimately they need to deliver what has been promised-especially as you are holding up your end of the deal -and saving the system thousands in doing so.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Well, I have survived the first week, so that is good! Just about to have dinner (salmon and couscous) before heading out to work for a couple of hours at the ski club.
rtandon, happy new year to you too! Glad you had a good holiday.
I am hoping to catch up with MSE tonight - I have been losing track of what is going on - it just is not good enough!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hi Hypno,
Congrats on your first week at new job, how's the PGCE going?
I've got so many assignments to write at the mo, it doesn't get any better in the second year!
Still my next assignment is a reflective account so going do it on the horrendous first session I had this week with some 16 & 17 year olds. Children of satan! :eek:Gonna have to lay down the law next week but at least I've got loads to go in my report.
