Great news the clearance came through ! Now go get that assignment DONE. You'll be too knackered next week with starting the new job. Funnily enough I always found the assignments I carefully researched-did a plan-did a draft -did a final rewrite always got lower marks that the ones I wrote in one sitting from scratch right at the deadline ! Either sods law at work or maybe more thinking time-I dunno.
Virgin media is playing up-I think the card has blown but as I can't work out which lead goes where (one came out when I pulled the box out to take the card out and put it back in) I have to wait for an engineer now. Funnily enough the very nice person at Virgin was interested to hear about doing her job from home with their competitor so I told her to come here and look for Oliver's thread on the subject LOL (Hope that wasn't one of the calls they listened in to).
After been so hopeless with the TV leads I'm thinking twice about trying to set up wireless for the laptop today-I'm just not good with wires and leads ! Perhaps I'll just pop down to MacDonalds and try out their WiFi insteadI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Well done Hypno - what a good start to the new year.
Have just had a phone call from Swansea Uni where DS is studying to say his room has been broken into and smashed up and of course they don;t know whats missing etc. so now have 600 mile round trip to sort it out!!!! Luckily his laptop was here so sounds as if it is the printer and tele thats probably gone. He's now in state of shock and is b@@@@@ angry but obviously doesn;t want to go and sort it on his own as its so far away. They are going to move his room to another house and upstairs flat.
Right now have to ring insurance company - police already informed and will meet DH & DS there on friday to go through room to see what is missing and fingerprint etc.
Happy New Year !!!!0 -
Hypno - congratulations!!! It was only a matter of time, of course, but now the pay packet will be end January, as you say. Great stuff.
Surfbabe - aargh, sorry to hear about the breakin.
Also, I'm just catching up on things, and seeing the Sun holidays... Impondsap - if you're interested in sharing (single female here, presuming you're female too??) we could explore???
Off to my sister's soon, just wanted to say hi, and congrats again, hypno.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hello everyone!! A brief visit before my next client.
Surfbabe, so sorry to read about DSs break in - that really is a complete hassle in the most pants sort of way (wanted to use words that the swear filter would edit, but no point really as they would all be !!!!!!!!!s). I hope it gets sorted soon and that not too much is missing that cannot be replaced.
Assignment - hmm....yes, that will get started later today, hopefully.
I have done my two mystery shops, walking miles from out of town to avoid paying for parking! Then proceeded to get carried away in the salesNot too bad really - pjs for the children to take with them because theirs are embarressingly too old (from primark
) boots half price sale has given me plenty to put in the present box for next year
and somehow a lovely top from Principles made its way into a bag.........but it was greatly reduced, and I *am* celebrating finally getting a start date for my new job
I am also using the starting of the new job to give my self a kick up the organisational backside - once I start work there is NO WAY I can be in this muddle.......so organisation starts right here, right now (or at least it will do once I have seen this client).Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. ooooh organised hypno!! that sounds great!! glad you managed to treat yourself in the sales hon, a wee little me item once a while does wonders for the morale. Is town manic? i have to go in later myself.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

Town was not as bad as I expected. The queues for the car parks are very long as is every queue in Marks & Spencers, but everywhere else seemed to be pretty quiet really. I guess a lot of people have gone back to work, so it is not so crowded out and about.
My "me" treat cost less than I made from doing the mystery shops today, so I am justifying it on cost basis because of that!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
