Naturist skiing  I know that us DFWers occasionally have our assets frozen, but that is just taking it too far!!
Thank you for all the new year wishes, I wish everyone here a fab 2008 too!!
I have just rearranged my money (or lack of it) yet again, today, and think I have a fighting chance at making a success of January, which is a good start for 2008. Also, took great delight in ringing the bank and reducing my overdraft limit :T I won't pretend that I have cancelled it completely, although that was my initial enthusiastic intention, but I have reduced it by over £1000 so that is £1000 of available debt that I cannot get my hands on :T
I think I am going to become well and truly addicted to my online banking and spreadsheets this year.........:cool:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Oh naturist skiing has been done so many times before by so many people. I can see people going  at the thought of me posting a picture, so I won't...Thank you for all the new year wishes, I wish everyone here a fab 2008 too!!

Yep I met a woman years ago who did naturist skiing - brrrr!
Well done on the overdraft Hypno.. and I'm with you on the spreadsheets - first time I've done a detailed one this month, it'll be interesting to see if it matches up with the bank account!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
The nearest I have got to naturist skiing is when my ski trousers split earlier this year - it was a very draughty journey back to the resort to buy some new ones........thankfully I ski pretty quickly, so not many people would have realised what was whizzing past them at a great rate of knots!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Oo-er and when they said "Look at her sking so fast" they didn't realise you weren't been flash-just trying NOT to flash !!
Just opened TWO new savings accounts at my own bank so I can chuck money out of reach of the debit card as fast as possible also it appears that as they are Co-op accounts I can claim a divvy on my savings too so sorted out my Co-op card they never sent me when they changed all the cards last year. It appears that if you take Co-op insurance you get cashback on that too-in addition to Quidco so a nice double dip to be had there it seems.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Honestly, after all that catching up I did, I turn my back for 5 minutes and people are skiing with nay kit on....!:rotfl:
Happy New Year Hypno (and everyone else that posts on here)
Thanks for all your great money saving ideas. I've even started mystery shopping since reading your diary. See... YOU inspire people, you do.
Now, I must leave these diaries alone and go and plan some lessons. It's just not good enough when Miss spends all lesson sat behind her desk reading MSE!!O/draft 1Abbey:£1000 Student Loan [STRIKE]£10,825[/STRIKE] £9030 Personal Loan: [STRIKE]£4900[/STRIKE]£4809 Apple Finance: £1000

Along with everyone else, I hope you have a really great New Year! Thanks again for all the inspiration and other help that you've given over the past few months - I hope you get the job started soon and can start the year on a money high!
I agree that matched betting is a must for next year - I did all the easy ones (Quidco etc) then lost interest as I didn't have the patience to find other suitable bookies. Any of you guys interested in joining together to do it? Perhaps if a few of us got together, we could take it in turns to find the bookies offering bonuses, and forward by email? We might be more likely to do it if properly if we knew other people were waiting on us to do our turn! I know there's a proper gambling board, but it's too scary for me, so maybe this would work?0 -
Haha, missbez, I too have lessons to plan. so far I have about 10 mins worth
I have even had to write it in my diary for tomorrow - "prep at least one lesson"........Truth is that because no-one has taught my subjects before at this particular prison, I have to start from scratch - can't even cobble it together from someone else's lesson plan
Need to get working, methinks!!
I have just spent half an hour peeling potatoes and sprouts to make loads of bubble and squeak for the freezer, so being very OS and organised for 2008.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
