Today is the first day of the "live on £4000 a year" challenge, and the first month I will be doing the "make £10 extra a day" challenge.

I have just checked online banking and a loan payment has come out meaning that my debt has gone down a bit!! In fact this particular loan is very nice because it comes to an end in the Summer so in comparison to the other debts I have it is now reasonably small, in fact after Febs payment comes out it will be under £1000 and the end of it really will be in sight!

Also.......fanfare required.......I earnt interest (yes, the bank paid ME) of £2.57 on all the "pots" that I set up for car maintenance, skiing, matched betting etc.

I need to do some mystery shops today, but apart from that have very little in the way of plans.

You were right yesterday, I really need to get set up and start matched betting. Am off to my diary to set up a welcome post for anyone who wants to start to matched bet, then off to do a bit of shopping. Am continuing my paper sorting antics too - feels really positive, there aren't any debts hiding in all that *stuff*, but I didn't know what was where, and now I do, kind of, its reassuring. Hi KC and Sea!! Happy New Year to both of you - may it bring you good health and lots of chocolate.

I have been doing my online mystery shop stuff, and just have one more to do before I can submit it £100 woo hoo!! That gets my £10 a day challenge off to a good start!!

Also want to do some slice the pie, but everyone else is still asleep so don't want to risk waking them with snippits of awful music!!

Karma, I am making 2008 the year I get organised - it won't happen overnight but in 2009 I want to be able to lay my hands on any paperwork I need easily, in a file, without having to go through piles of outdated screwfix catalogues, and empty envelopes!!

Good idea, Sea, I will go and have a look for some headphones, although in the chaos that is my house, they could be anywhere, and I am in danger of making more noise looking for the headphones than I would make on the sites!!

Happy New Year !!
My resolutions revolve around getting better organized too both with paperwork and money.
I find so many people on here an absolute inspiration.
So today's task include continuing the great declutter, writing a coherant email requesting DS's funding for school continues for a further two years for A levels and teachin g DS how to use the BM (at his request-but I told him 10pm on NYE wasn't the time to start). I'm quite excited about the last one as he has no interest in cooking or anything domestic (partly down to been a teenager and mostly down to Aspergers) as a rule.
