  • I’m wondering why I’m seeing two hard searches on my credit file :/ both from Halifax and both dated today :/
  • I've seen posts before where people have said they've had multiple hard searches. All the mortgage advisors have said not to worry if there are multiple.
Ours has gone in this afternoon. Wish you all the luck in the world I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine. If you want to inbox me so we can share anxieties feel free 💜
  • It’s horrible isn’t it?! How people do this more than once I’ll never know! X

Halifax check at every change, but the come up as other search on files.  Payslips as well are requested more if you dont have a Halifax acc
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • @chanz4 thank you for the information! I bank with Halifax but my mortgage advisor has all our payslips and bank statements anyway
  • I don’t bank with Halifax but have sent wage slips and statements through to my broker.

Did anyone have any luck with booking an evaluation with Halifax? I made the application on May 7th through L&C (they also charged me £200 for that) but it seems very hard to get a straightforward answer from them!

I think they're pretty far behind on valuations because of the pandemic

Sorry to hijack your thread but I'm in a similar position with Halifax. Broker said on Monday that Halifax would need to do a hard search and come back to say accepted - does that mean the full application has gone in or not? I'm confused by that. Broker has been off the last 2 days but back tomorrow and I guess he's going to ask for payslips, bank stats etc. How many months of payslips and bank statements did you have to provide for Halifax?

I had to send 3 months pay slips, both for me and my husband, and bank statements from 1/2/20 to now.

I’d presume if you’ve had a hard search it’s been submitted.
