TUI holiday in August - amend or wait for TUI to cancel ?

Just bumping this as we're down to the last couple of days to rebook and Tui are now saying they'll be flying to several destinations but with certain rules when you arrive at your destination.

For us we didn't feel we'd be getting the same all inclusive experience, we've decided to not pay the increase to have the same holiday but a year later (£800 extra), and instead decided to put it together with the money we would have spent next year for a longer holiday in a destination we wouldn't usually afford.

A lot of websites are stating that TUI have cancelled all flights to Florida for 5 months. I have not seen an email or the app being updated to reflect if it's true. My concern now is like you said 2 days to change for free or come the 01 July either pay the 100% to transfer or hope TUI say it's not happening. Am hoping for the latter so i can look elsewhere? It's crazy to think they can fly families to the US when they have some of the highest confirmed daily COVID-19 rates. I did see the email that TUI said they won't fly you to a destination that has a 14 day quarantine and i know some states have got that in place already for locals.

I’m fairly sure I saw that announcement on their website the other day. Possibly under FAQ section and the sections of if your travel falls between these dates...

• TUI Lakes and Mountain holidays travelling on or before 30 September 2020

• TUI Tours travelling up on or before 31 October 2020

• Marella Cruises sailings on or before 27 August 2020 and all sailings detailed below

– All sailings on Marella Celebration
– Sailings on Marella Discovery 2 from Naples, Asia and the Middle East up to 30 April 2021
– Sailings on Marella Dream from Palma up to 4 May 2021
– Marella Discovery sailings on or before 31 October 2020, and from Jamaica in December 2020 and January 2021
