Ok have been to work, am home, have printed out the children’s school work but yet to make them do it. I’m having some toast and the children have their lunch. Managed to sell the shelf unit so that’s another £10 and if someone picks up the book then that will be another £3.I’m sat with the children watching ugly Dolls not sure school work will get done today... I have not been to Costa so am happy, and I shouldn’t need to spend any money today. On the hair front, my hair is actually really lovely and soft after the coconut oil incident. Might think about doing it once a week but with a thicker oil and a curly girl approved shampoo. Really don’t want to keep spending money on my hair but it used to be so lovely and now it really isn’t.1

Ok, have done some school work, we did french and maths. Roo is now on his zoom meeting and May is watching blue Peter. I’m laying on my bed upstairs because I’m lazy! Lots of stuff going on at work because of the protests etc. So going to be a long night discussing things with OH as to the way forwards. I’m really hungry but no idea what to eat. Probably cereal, but should really not be lazy and make some porridge or something.

Yep I was right, since 6pm me and OH have been having v heated discussions about work and the business and what to do next. Literally everything is on the line and we don’t know what to do next, it’s going to be a long night. Not great when I’m tired and May has a tummy ache and will probably be up all night.
Dinner was spaghetti bolognese with enough left over for tomorrow. I bulked it out with lentils and oats, the consistency wasn’t great but OH didn’t say anything. I sold Roos bike, so that’s another £45. So at the moment I have £55 contingency money. Didn’t get any clothes sorted, need to do that tomorrow but did unload the dishwasher and wash the floor. OH has sorted for us to have tomorrow off so that we can sort out the business, if at all possible. Tiny bit excited about having my Gousto box come tomorrow! Exciting times! What a sad life I do lead 🙄.2 -

Life couldn’t be more complicated. The business was in its knees from the pandemic. Now through no fault of ours we are dealing with a crisis as to whether we can even open the business again. Getting hateful messages when I woke up this morning hasn’t helped. Didn’t sleep to well either, spending today trying to help OH as he is a mess.Trying to be normal in posting on here. Children are home but obv no home schooling is going on as too busy trying to sort life out. Someone was lovely and baked us a cake and sent it round This morning, which has made me smile at least. Someone picked up a book so that’s £3 made, so I now have £58 in the contingency.1

Hi JanB5 thank you so much for your message. Yes I know Goustos are expensive I got this one for £30 for 4 meals for 4 people. I’m so stuck in a rut with food I thought it would help me come up with more things to eat. I’ll only do it until the deal ends, or maybe before depending on money.I don’t know if it’s stress or not but I keep getting heart flutters, is there anything I should do?3

You seem to have so much going on. Keep an eye one the heart flutters and contact a doctor if the continue. As others have said, don’t beat yourself up over missed days (weeks) homeschooling. Do whatever works for you right now. As for other things, can you just take a step back for a minute to make things easier. Just a few things that might help.Write a list of things that you want to achieve in the next week. Pick 3 you are going to do each day. If anymore than 3 get done accidentally it’s a bonus but don’t over stretch yourself. A lot of your posts are around food/meal planning and you seem to default to toast/ cereal when busy to feed yourself. If you do this regularly I’m sure it won’t make you feel any better and a bit sluggish.Ideally you should meal plan before you shop, that way you buy what you need rather than trying to pan meals from what you buy - think about when you are next going to shop so you are covered for ‘date nights meal if you need.I don’t meal plan breakfasts and lunches but plan c10 meals at a time. I don’t plan by day as I find that too restrictive we just decide day but day what we are going to have for tea from the planner. We have fruit/ yogurt or porridge or cereal for breakfast in the week. The fruit might be stewed apple or kiwi rather than fresh berries as I find that keeps the cost down. And 1 day at the weekend we have croissants (bake at home from freezer) pancakes (homemade) or bacon sandwiches to feel a bit more ‘special/weekend like’
and for lunch we have a mix of things that we rotate/ use from store cupboard. Stuff like Ham, roasted chicken thighs, hummus (homemade) , salad, cous cous (Chuck all sorts of veg/ meat in), boiled eggs, wraps, HM soup. Some days I make sandwiches some days I just put stuff out and people help themselves.Hope things work out with the business, when life is manic and uncertain (lots of that round here in the last 12 months) I find controlling what I can (food, utility spend, selling stuff, decluttering etc...) gives me some sense of feeling back in control of things.5 -
Morning @missymoo81 as per the above, def stay close to the heart flutters.
You can always call for non emergency medical advice if you’re unsure and after general advice.I hope everything improves quickly for you.April 2020 - £102,222 Loans/CC’s.

Hi JanB5, Clarissa, and purple fairy, I really appreciate you taking the time to post, your advice and kind thoughts.I’m def going to take these on board and see what I can do to make things easier. I know I need to eat better and take time for myself. And homeschooling is going to have to take a bit of a back seat for a short time. Meal planning is a good idea, I know I need to do this. I don’t know whether to have a Gousto box next week or not.Going to take some time today and sort things out x3
