Broccoli cheese or, if you've got a small amount of blue cheese, broccoli & blue cheese soup.  If you haven't got any blue cheese then just broccoli soup.

I don’t know if OH would eat that but you’ve given me a really good idea, I’ll make a saucy pasta bake with it to hide it! Thanks!

Enjoy!  Pasta bake is a good idea.  Amazing what you can hide vegwise when you try!

Thanks, I’ve never actually made one but I’m sure it must be easy enough! I’ll put some chicken in OH’s to satisfy his protein needs 🙄.

Ok so currently standing in the queue for the post office to send my gym clothes back then I should get £80 winging its way back to me. But forgive me for I have sinned, I have already spent £15 of that money...... I bought some roller skates for myself so that I can go skating with May. They were £50 skates used twice, up on FB for £20 but she accepted £15, they were round the corner from my hoUse and the lady gave me a big tomato plant! Which I’m over the moon about and will plant in the garden!

Now I know the money could have gone towards Paying back the house deposit but as I said I’ve worked everything out and as long as I don’t spend any more money than accounted for I should just have enough of my grant to cover living. Anything above that can be spent or ideally saved as a contingency fund. So that’s where we’re at. When the money comes back, I will put £65 into the contingency.

Ok so today hasn’t really gone to plan, I didn’t sleep well last night and had to be up at 0530, I did my 2 classes, body is super tired so knees really hurt, then came home and slept for 3 hours. Have spent money. I had to take the private plate off of my old car and that cost me £80 and me and OH got fish and chips on the way home From work tonight As we had errands to run, so that’s another £13 down! Not happy, need to pay back that money somehow. To try and counteract this, I have listed the children’s old bikes for £100 so fingers crossed these sell at some point. But the number plate and listing the bikes have been on my todo list for many months so very happy they have been sorted. And managed to swap my SR flour with my friend for plain, so that didn’t cost me anything extra.
I have a Tesco order for click and collect for Friday, then I haven’t another for 10 days. Unfortunately i need to buy tea and shampoo and conditioner does anyone know if Tresemme is any good for curly hair? It’s cheap and my hair just keeps falling out and breaking. Because of the extra things we need the shopping is over the £40 I want to spend. But I’ll try and cut in other ways. Meal plan hasn’t really gone to plan this week but will make stew tomorrow as it’s meant to be a bit colder.
Need to workout in both classes tomorrow and meant to be going on a bike ride so going to be super hungry which means more food and more calories so will try and make wise choices. Have just put some washing on as forgot to do it and hVent any shorts for tomorrow!
Going to snuggle up under the blanket with a cuppa and OH.

Having a really rubbish day. Argued massively with OH with regards to how ex treats me and how I have to jump every time he goes away to work to have the children so much so we’re having to cancel plans for a friends 40th. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place and it sucks.

I have spent money......I’ve spent £23 on 2 cardigans for May and a top for Roo. It appears I can’t help myself buying things for the children. It’s a habit I have to stop! But I guess it’s an emotional reflex for me. I feel rubbish, I buy things that will make other people happy, which in turn makes me happy. It’s wrong I know. So I have the children from Sunday (which I’m super happy about, I’ve missed them so much) instead of a week on Sunday so I’ve had to change the Tesco order again, it’s now over £55, I’ll be happy if I can keep it under £60 but we’ll see. Not sure on meal plans, this weeks is completely all over the place. I have some chicken in the fridge I decorated but I imagine it’s off by now. I’ve eaten beans on toast and a banana and a protein bar today. Have another workout later which I really can’t be bothered with. OH is having chicken and pasta left over from the other day, I’ll probably have cereal as I’m grumpy and can’t be bothered to eat anything else.
OH deep cleaned most of the house in his grumpiness today, I still need to sort the play room and spare room. Spare room is mostly clothes. And play room is mostly toys. I’ll do it tomorrow when the weather is bad. Still haven’t dyed my hair, really need to, might do that tomorrow too.

Hope you’re all ok, so sorry for the rant.

So money wise this week, I have gained £25 from a T-shirt sale, sent £80 worth of clothes back for a refund. So I’m up £105, but I spent £4 on crisps stock up, £13 on fish and chips, £80 on my number plate thingy and £23 on clothes for the children so I’m actually -£15. Going to list some bits of FB later, although the the app doesn’t seem to let me post on marketplace for some reason?! Anyway £15 to make at least.....

Hope you manage to get some sleep.
Are there no grandparents or other family to mind the children whilst you go to your friends birthday?
Does Ex often change work plans and if so why? Is his work so unpredictable?  I'm assuming that the arrangements for the children have been legally set, so the maintenance payments he makes take into account the time he is supposed to have them.  Does he pay you more when you have to have the children back?

I can understand OH in as much as Ex seems to take his responability for his children very lightly..ie he shouldn't be taking work when he has the children to see to, (what would happen if you weren't available) but I can also understand your position as their Mam and just wanting them safe with you.  What does OH expect you to do?

I think I'd try and get the children looked after (babysitter?) so you can make it to your friends birthday, and this might make OH lighten up a bit.

It also sounds as though straight talking needs to be had with Ex, he really shouldn't be dropping this kind of thing on you at the last minute.
I hope you feel better soon and can get things sorted out.  (((hugs)))
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
