In the end, I’m shattered today though. Think I’ve sorted it with OH, it’s all so complicated with EX. He’s such a tw@. Anyway moneywise. I have a Tesco order to pick up and I have ordered a Gousto box for next week, it’s an expensive week at around £90 for both but that’s to last at least 10 days, with the children. I’ve had a small payment from business of £288 which I wasn’t expecting and OH is able to pay me this month! So I’m just going to see how long I can live out of my every day account without dipping into the grant. Obviously I will have to, It’s inevitable but the longer I can hold off the better, as when I restart the business in September Ill have to spend money on advertising and staff etc etc.

looking forward to getting my shopping later. We’ve got curry for dinner. My 2 FB adverts for the children’s bikes have had zero interest, so I’ll look at those again.

In other news I am trying the curly girl Method on my hair, as in Washington with conditioner not shampoo, not sure until my hair is dry, it feels a bit funny though. Anyway must get ready for work.
  • It's rubbish when you don't get decent sleep isn't it?  I always end up being really grouchy if I'm tired which is ironic because I never sleep really soundly (poor Mr FTD)
Glad you've managed to smooth things over with the other half, it would be rubbish to be going in to the weekend with the funk hanging over you.

I'm always tempted by the curly girl method but I have to wash my hair every other day and the one time I tried conditioner only, my hair didn't feel clean, I hate the feeling of lank/greasy hair.

Hey Findingthisdifficult, Yep I get all
emotional when I’m tired which hasn’t helped the ex situation. Hopefully we’re ok now. Just home from work and cooking dinner, got my click and collect from Tesco and they substituted my Tesco tea with typhoo! V happy as much prefer that tea! I’m happy with how much shopping we got for £60 and I had to get conditioner too, which wasn’t as cheap as I’d have liked. Currently using chicken thighs to make curry, I don’t mind using them. I got fillets but I noticed ones with bone in are so much cheaper but obv you have the weight of the skin and the bone in with the meat so not sure how it compares with chicken breast lb for £. Maybe I should buy some and weigh the skin and bone.... hmmmm food for thought.

Hair seems ok on just conditioner, could do with some mousse or something though it’s a bit frizzy. Tomorrow is hair dye day!!!! More than apprehensive about it!

And thanks so much for your lovely post Chrystal I did pm you to say thank you x

Thighs are much better than breast for curry.  I always use boneless and skinless but that is because I am doing Slimming World and have to syn skin (not that I particularly like it anyway).  If you're not dieting you'll get a better flavour with bone in thighs but I'd still remove the skin because it'll be inedible anyway.

Thanks joedenise, I prefer the flavour of chicken thighs, I could debone them and take the skin off them but the time it would take would probably put me off.
Can’t wait to have the children back tomorrow. I need to clear up the play room. I’ve got work today, not sure what to do after as it’s so miserable. What is everyone else up to today? I do need to sort and do some washing, put some clothes away, maybe bake some banana bread, I need to dye my hair and shave my legs etc, also I need to cut OH’s hair, so I’ve got quite a bit to do!

I should have someone coming to pick May’s bike up later, if they turn up is another thing. But hopefully and that’s £42 winging its way over to me. Of course it will be cash but not sure what to do with that at the moment. OH and I have a rare afternoon of just being able to chill and not work so we’re going to ply board games and watch films and maybe have a drink or two tonight. Despite going shopping yesterday I can’t think what I can cook for dinner that will be special enough for a date sort of night..... I have chicken and I have mince, I can do spaghetti Bolognese but that’s a bit boring..... not sure what to do with the chicken, enchilada maybe..... could always get some bits from COOP for nachos as that is what we’d eat if we were out on a date night. But don’t really want to spend too much money when I’ve already spent enough on shopping. Hmmmmm....
So I’m still sat on the sofa. Going to mealplan for next week and try not to fall asleep.

Ok! I’m going to dye my hAir, just had a message from my hairdresser to say how they are going to put protocols in place for hair appointments, and it’s just not for me, plus they are upping their prices by 25%+, I’m all about supporting small business, being the owner of one myself, but I absolutely, can NOT afford £100 every 6 weeks!!!!!! Let’s just hope the home dye effort goes ok. To say I’m apprehensive is an understatement!

Just make sure you wear a top that you don’t need to take off over your head, put some Vaseline or lipsalve round your hair line and when you the the gloves off after the first application, take them off without turning them inside out so you can put them on again when you get in the shower to rinse. And use an old towel.
