  • Morning Missy. Hope you have a good day today. Definitely speak to your doctor if its feeling like more than a couple of days feeling down. You have been dealing with a lot over the last few months and talking with them may help.

I don't think the weather is helping my mood. I hate it when its cold and wet, I've not even stepped outside this week.

Well done on  the eco shopping.

Ahhh the impending possible lockdown is now on the cards. Worrying, but happy I have my £1000 emergency fund. Just painstakingly waiting for the announcement to see if we have to shut again! 🙈

I think we're all waiting to see what's going to be announced but sounds as though it's going to be similar to end March/April except that kids will still be able to go to school/university.  Well done on getting a good emergency fund - it will be invaluable.

  • I hope it wasn't as bad as you thought, I was sorting dinner so not seen announcement properly.

Yep we have to shut 😢. Like every other non essential business. I’m hoping they will talk soon about a plan to hopefully help with wages etc, as I won’t be paid in this month off, much like many others across the country who are self employed.

Need to have a look at budgets and costs of things again! Going to eat my butternut squash lasagne and drink my tiny bottle of wine and ponder and plan somewhat. Big hugs to anyone that needs them right now. X
  • I am so sorry Missy. You've worked so hard to get back on track. Hope you have some news soon about any help for you.

I’d be chasing ex fir the backdated CMS, he should be paying you until he’s made redundant

Thanks Charlie’s Tribe I really appreciate it. I need to catch up with your diary!

We’ve got a plan for the business we will go back to online. I’m hoping I will get a tiny bit more time to myself with the children being at school? which is a silver lining. And I can train as much as I like and I can hopefully manage my diet a bit better.  I will struggle for money As I’ll be about £800-£900 down and won’t break even but will try and pay back what I can and whatever I’m short I’ll make up with my emergency fund. But it won’t last for longer than a month unfortunately.

I have school clubs to pay for from last term, and school trips and of course Christmas, not forgetting Roo’s birthday... ok now I’m worried about money...... need to do some sums!

Will still get £572 from business No.1
    £540 from private PTs
    £200 from business No.2
    =£1212

    £770 are bills and rent
    £100 food
    £60 school
    £70 school trip
    £450 loan payment
    £165 Xmas presents
    £270 tax
    £200 business rent
    =£2085

So I’m an awful lot down...... emergency fund can help but I’d like to see what I can make too. Have some things on eBay ready to sell as have bids on them. I’ll see what else clears in my account as I’m not sure what is going through at the moment from last month.

Need to eBay more stuff tomorrow.

Thinking caps on how to make more but spend less money.

I know it won't help now but would you get universal credit to help top wages up? I'm not sure how it works with income when self employed.

And of course chasing the ex. I'm sure he's not to worried about how he's going to feed himself and keep his house over his head. He definitely isn't worried about doing the same for his children.

Sorry to hear you have been feeling down, hope you feel better soon.

I think this month will be a good month for ebaying with everyone stuck at home, so if you have stuff to sell, it would be worth trying to find the time to list it, especially if it's stuff that's suitable for Christmas gifts.

Please also do chase the ex, if he's still not been made redundant, he's had a few months with no excuse for not paying.  You need that cash for your kids and to take the pressure off you.  Is there any way of getting him to contribute to the school trip in the meantime?
