Morning!
So got up and did the 0630 class! Body was not happy. I didn’t eat enough yesterday and I didn’t sleep too well. But it’s done now.Did manage to do a survey in the class breaks so that’s something. Going to try and concentrate on surveys for the next few days. Had my first early morning without coffee! I had a cup of tea instead and do you know, it was fine!
just went to put some washing on and noticed Mays favourite dress has a huge ink stain! So that’s had to go in instead. Hopefully it will come out. Would love to get lots of washing done today but I’m at work from 1030, so we’ll see! Anyway speak later.2 -
Ok quick update. Ink came out of Mays dress so that’s on the line, managed to do 2 more loads including loads of towels and the children’s bedding and it’s all hanging up on the line. I’ve written up a huge long post for work which is good, still have bits to do today but hoping I can get it done whilst actually at work. Got to pick shopping up between 2-4. OH was not overly happy at lack of available food this morning but hey ho.Feel rather productive with all the washing out on the line. Have also finally filled out my DVLA thing, so that is going in the post on the way to work. Tomorrow morning I actually have from about 11-2 to myself so I’m going to set about cleaning and organising. I’ve got too much stuff and lots can go on eBay. Going to try and keep up with surveys etc. I want to start my Xmas shopping early Paid for by surveys if I can. Found more teapots on FB marketplace but none are quite right. Not going to lie am craving coffee. Will have one when I get to work but that’s fine. Lunch wise we have to get 2 of the crew meal deals for lunch. It would be weird if we ate packed lunches with them but I’m taking crisps and a chocolate bar for both me and OH and there are some tuna sandwiches for £1.30 each and I have a drink So £1.70 each saved there. So that £3.40 I’m going to spend on cat food as will come out of OH’s account and I couldn’t fit it into my budget this week!1

Ok so ended up working All day, just about to leave. Didn’t get admin done, will maybe do tomorrow. Haven’t picked up Tesco order, will do on way home, need to bring washing on,
unload dishwasher, put shopping away. Erm.... make dinner, want to get on with cleaning and stuff tonight. Will see if OH wants to go on his XBOX.... that way I don’t feel bad not working.
Only have 2 Free hours tomorrow now, going to storm through getting stuff
done then I can have a nice afternoon with the smalls.I have a list forming in my head of all the things I need to do, I’ll start writing it here then add to it later:
under stair cupboardKitchen paperwork
sort freezer
more washing
strip my bed
remake children’s bedS
sort children’s washing
sort my washing and put away
sort under sink cupboard
sort EBay Pile
clean litter tray1 -
Ok have literally only just sat down. Ended up going into Tesco after picking up order to get bins for work. Then to Halfords to get mats for the truck. Then home and I have:
put shopping away
bought washing in
did litter tray
wiped worktops
put chicken thighs in oven
watered plants
filled up bird feeder
unloaded dishwasher
unloaded washing machine
made dinner
washed up
showered
Work was very productive today and I’m dog tired so not going go do anymore tonight.
My friend is coming over tomorrow with her two children, I’m going to bake
a cake for us to have and we’re going to go to the park outside our house and drink coffee whilst the children play.
Im super chuffed with how much shopping I got for my £33. Didn’t get cat food as found some in the garage. Had curry for dinner, which was nice.Bless OH after being horrendously grumpy for the last 2 days he’s just ordered me some things from IKea, I’ve got 2 cups, a tea pot, a milk jug and a new cafetière (the one our friends gave us leaked 🙄) it’s not coming until the middle of August but he did get a discount on it, I think all of that came to £25. So that’s not too bad. No I didn’t need them, but if I drink more tea than coffee that’s a massive saving. And we have a £50 voucher for pact coffee so need something to make it in hence theCafetière.1 -
Ok so both me and OH are Up, which never happens we’re just awake! So I’ve made tea and us and the cats are sitting in bed! Which is lovely!
I’ve fed the cats and put the washing on. Going to strip my bed when we’re up, have 2 more loads of washing to get washed and dried, want to actually put it all away today. So what I’m going to try and get done by 1pm, (I have class at 0930), is:
All the washing Washed and on the line
make cake
tidy kitchen
tidy children’s bedroom
tidy playroom
clean downstairs loo
make breakfast
tidy boxes in lounge
strip bed
Call floor cleaning
Have just done a couple of small surveys Do get screened out an awful lot though! Just made OH some toast and I’m going to hang out washing Load number one.1 -
Ok so friend cancelled as she has a migraine. So I’m going to pick the children up at 1 then I’m not sure.... I’ve got the third load of washing on the line. Sheets are in the machine on a hot wash. I just have some coloured stuff to do after that, oooh actually could do with washing the children’s duvets they smell of trumps! Which is never good! I don’t fancy putting the clean bedding on top of them so I think I’ll stick them in the machine too. I’m fortunate I’ve got a big machine and a 14 minute wash. So will just do that twice and get them on the line.I haven’t managed much else due to work kicking off! It’s crazy! Will try and do bits whilst the children are here. I’m just lazily sat on the bed but really do need to get a wiggle on!1
-
Yuk! Really hate picking the children up. Ex commented on new truck as if we’re rolling in money! It’s a necessity for the business and we got a loan for it, and it’s none of his business! Especially as he hasn’t paid any maintenance for the past 2 months!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr and breathe!Sorry rant over!2
-
In our experience, (and we chose to pay over the basic rate of maintenance, every month, on time and without hassle), those kind of comments always got said in front of the children too. Much sympathy. Don't grind your teeth, dentists appointments are expensive and like hens teeth.
On the cake front I have rediscovered the joy of chocolate crispy cakes. 30p bar of value melted chocolate, and as many value rice crispies as you can get away withMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
GNU Mr Redo2 -
Thanks Redo, trying not to dwell on it. Cakes sound lovely!!!!! I used to love them! Think I may have to make some.Well..... since I’ve been back I’ve done about a million loads of washing and appear to have broken the washing machine!!!!! It doesn’t want to spin! Right when Mays actual duvet was in there, it’s soaked through with no chance of drying. It’s done this in the past and I’ve taken the filter bit off and it’s fixed itself but I did it this time and when I turned it on again it’s just made an odd noise! That is absolutely all I need!!!! I really can’t afford to fix the washing machine right now, the washing line has also broken, and when I took the sheets off the bed, I noticed there’s a huuuuuge hole in the bottom sheet!!!!! Arghhh so more things to buy, not sure how I’m going to afford it all!!!! Wondering if I put a wash on with some white vinegar it would help as the filter was all lime scaled up. Does anyone know if it has to be white or can it be ordinary malt vinegar for like scale? Zoe maybe I’ve buggered the motor because I’ve done too many loads! Argh really can’t believe this 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.
Have also had 5 child members Parents say they’re not going to return to classes When we open which means I’m £200 a month down on normal earnings. Seriously, today can do one!!!! So stressed about work, worried about money and I’ve started about 4 cleaning / clearing jobs in doors, so that now the house is a !!!!!! state and OH is due back soon. And I’m now At the park as the children were arguing too much indoors!!!1 -
It's white vinegar to remove limescale; malt vinegar can be used if you really have to but it might stain anything that's in the machine so better not to. Also takes a longer time to get rid of the smell.
Hope you can sort your washing machine out, there's nothing worse than being without a machine! Washing just has to be done. Can you repair the hole in the sheet, maybe with a patch of another fabric? It's not going to be on show!3
