@WelshKitty85 ah thank you! @remote_control I used to do that years ago. Our grill stinks though and I would burn everything I know! I’ve asked about 5 black toasters on FB so just waiting for replies.

    Well, good and bad.

I have found a toaster and they have said I can have it for free and that they would text tomorrow re pick up. I’m not 100% sure it will come about but we will see! Fingers crossed!

The bad thing is, I ordered May some pinafores and thought I’d done so well being organised and they’ve come but they are barely longer than the ones she has now despite being a whole age bigger! They’re a very slightly different style but still TU. so I’m going to have to send them back! Could do without the palava to be honest! Very annoying.

Am currently just looking for second hand ones but there doesn’t seem to be much about, I guess I could wait until school ends but I worry they’ll sell out in the shops and she won’t have anything to wear, as the ones she has now are barely passable! I’ve just emailed the school to see if they have a second hand rail as I know they used to.
  • Ebay have a few pinafores ending in the next couple of hours, starting at 99p.
There's also a site called oldschooluniform.co.uk where eveything is free or very cheap.

How terrifying about your friend.  Glad you managed to help and glad he seems to be recovering.

Well done for not spending £125 on a toaster!

Lol you all think I’m mad, it was £62.50 for the toaster and the same for the kettle so not £125 for a toaster but still stupid amounts. And I’ve had to really talk myself down from it! It’s so stupid I know, it’s just I see the money in my bank and think ‘Of course I can afford it and that I deserve nice things’ and it’s hard to not have what i want when I used go just go out and get what I wanted.

I am learning, and do need a nudge every so often. My task is to pay my tax bill At the end of next month and the other hefty one At the end of jan.

I need to make the business make more money again, I think advertising will help. I need to finish my course as it helps you set up a business. I should really build a website and start to push it. I just feel like I never have enough time as it is, it’s time management I lack I think. I’m hoping that if I can get the house decluttered and organised and have a good home routine for cooking and cleaning and washing. I will have more time for working.

Thanks @jwil I keep thinking about it. It’s really bothered me. Not that I have the money but it feels like something I need to do. I’m wondering about going for a private medical check, to check my cholesterol and my diabetes markers etc, as I was borderline aneamic and pre diabetic a few years ago. I’m just really worried about all of these things and of course getting a normal dr to see you at the moment is really tricky. Not sure what I can do for peace of mind……

Can you just phone your GP surgery and ask to speak to a Dr?  That's what we have to do.  Ask your GP for a blood test as you think it would be a good idea to check your cholesterol and blood sugar levels again after your earlier results.  Probably worth asking for a full blood count to check for anaemia too as you are always feeling so tired.

Just wondering if you could pay some of your tax bill early.  I know we all like to keep our money for as long as possibly before handing it over to the tax man, but if its burning a hole in your pocket and there is a chance you could spend it because its there, it might be a good idea.  I don't know, but I'm fairly sure they wont mind getting it early

  • I had low B12 and ended up in hospital. I thought I was having a heart attack. My arms were numb and tingling and my ECG wasn't right. It was that low that the Dr said he wasn't sure how I was still functioning. Prior to this my hair was falling out, I had depression, bruises, memory loss.  All B12 deficiency related.

My sister has it and she has injections for it. She just spoke to the Dr for a full blood count because she was always tired.

If you are anaemic it's an awful feeling.
