Hey @bookworm_nat123 so nice to see you! I doubt it, it was a refurbished one from EBay about 3 years ago. I’m going to have a go with some Viakal on the kettle and see what I can do.

Ebay haven’t actually got any refurbished ones anyway. So that option isn’t viable.

Hi Missy 😊 Glad to see your friend looks to be getting better, what a worrying time for you all xx

With the toaster and kettle (do feel free to ignore me!) could you get cheap ones for now to tide you over? I know they might not match, and you might need an extension lead, and might have to do two lots of toast if you can only get a 2 slice one... but you did mention the other day that you still weren't sure how you were going to pay your tax bill and this might just help out a little bit towards that (or might mean you don't have to teach an extra class or two?)

(Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn - I speak as someone who is currently using a toaster that Mr Cheery rescued from someone on their way to throwing it in the electrical bin at the tip so the prospect of spending any money on a toaster is a bit alarming to me, let alone £125! ) 😮😁 xxxx

(I certainly wasn't suggesting getting one out of a skip, by the way! 😮😮 Just maybe spending a tenner on a cheap one or looking on Freegle or something)

@Cheery_Daff you are wonderful. it’s people like you that save me and you’re why I am here. You are right of course….. I’m going to have a look into my finances now and see what things look like and have a toaster rethink.

    Thanj you!
  • Whwre I live people are always offering toasters on FB for free or cheap. What colour do you want? I'll look for one and send it to you. x

Hi Missy, I've just caught up on your diary. HUGE congratulations on the house.

Sorry to read about your friend but good news they seem to be on the mend.
  • Our toaster packed in and we're using the grill for now. Very MSE apart from all the times I forget about the toast and it burns.....
