Sky Sports Pause ending - Confirmed

It's also worth pointing out that on Virgin Media at least... BT Sport credits will be applied this month as usual, but then stop. Sky Sports, if you've had a credit applied covering the whole of June for example, then they will clawback the part of that which covers the 19th June onwards. It just goes to show, Sky Sports treat two things as sacrosanct: Football, and money. Everything else follows. I say that as a subscriber to Sky & BT via Virgin Media, who can't stand the round-ball and is itching for the real sport to start hopefully in August0

Real sport maybe but how are they going to apply social distancing to Joe Marler ??

Sky Sports customers beware. Instead of pausing my sports subscription Sky cancelled it. Once I realised, I phoned and tried to reinstate, especially as the premier league was starting this week. Sky admitted they had mistakenly cancelled but said I could not have the sports reinstated at the same price (I had negotiated discounts previously) as I was now being treated a as a new sports customer rather than an existing one. The operator said there is nothing they can do as the system won’t allow my previous deal, Sky want me to pay an extra £13 pm for the same package I had in March! I asked to take the matter further and am currently waiting for a call from a manager. A friend also had his cancelled. The Sky operator admitted mistakes were made when the pause option came out. I imagine many others will have had their subscription cancelled, this means there will be no automatic activation when the football starts and they will have to phone up to discuss. If your sports channel is showing you need to upgrade then it has been cancelled, if you can still view the channel then it’s been paused and it should reactivate automatically.0

brewerdave said:What now makes this worse ,is that 25 Premier League matches are going to be shown FTA on BBC!
So the barstewards at Sky will be charging full rate for just a few more footy matchesSo don't subscribe to Sky then. They've always had the lions share of the games and this is no different.0 -

I would have had no objections to paying "full" rate from a later date when cricket ,F1 etc restarts. Also the info. in the quote was wrong as it later emerged that only 4 matches were being shown on FTA BBC .0 -
Its very Footbalist ,other non football sports should be half price as they don't pay the billions paid for football .

Common sense prevailed, manager from Sky called, dealt with it efficiently and now paying same pre pause.0
