So the barstewards at Sky will be charging full rate for just a few more footy matches   >:)
Do you really expect Sky to continue getting no income from an investment that cost them £billions????

If you seriously feel so strongly about this broadcaster, I suggest you cancel your whole subscription and be done with them.

Sky will already be bracing themselves for mass cancellations from customers who have lost their jobs or otherwise been negatively impacted financially due to the Pandemic.

You don't see a recession (or even Depression) on the horizon?  :open_mouth:

Without subscription revenue the business simply cannot survive. A sustained "pause" was therefore never on the cards.
    Some perspective is required here.

Err - yes ! - like any other business which is currently NOT supplying a contracted service.

I think it's perfectly fine. Football is one of their largest products and that will be back by then, likewise golf and others. With football (and also rugby although i appreciate that's not back on yet) in particular there wouldn't be much being shown normally in June/July so if anything they're providing more than would be expected this time of year.
I expect Sky didn't have to suspend payments but were right to do so without live sports being shown. Now it's returning I think they're fine to uplift it rather than being a phasing of fees.
Likewise, it's more than reasonable to cancel your contract and I expect Sky will be more lenient in allowing that even when you're in a fixed term.

The BBC app says that all 92 premier league matches will be shown live across Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport or Amazon, then it states that four Premier League games will be shown on BBC Sport.

Apparently 25 will be shown on Sky Pick (FTA on Freeview and Freesat) - not in HD and 4 matches on BBC - possibly in HD. The rest are pre contracted to the other "premium" services.

My bill for June has now been increased - only getting 5 days at zero charge - full ( discounted) rate for Sports from 19th June - still seems too early when only footy will be available live until early July.

Yep, on Monday - an email with the subject "The Comeback Starts Here" (amusingly after my sub had ended). Here's a paste.

    Hello [Redacted],

Whether a return from injury or a dramatic last-minute winner, there's nothing in sport like a comeback. Only this time, sport itself is coming back.

The Premier League has announced that the 19/20 season is set to return on 17 June. With 92 matches of the current season remaining, Sky Sports will show 39 games exclusively live, with an additional 25 live matches available to all Sky subscribers.

To celebrate the return of the Premier League, we will also launch new features to give fans an even more immersive experience and the chance to share the moments live with family and friends on virtual platforms.

Plus, the drama and excitement of live sport keeps coming, with the PGA Tour and Sanzaar Rugby also returning in June.

Don't worry, to enjoy the live action you don't need to do anything to unpause your subscription:

    •   You’ll still have access to all your Sky Sports channels

    •   Your Sky Sports subscription payment will resume automatically

    •   You won’t be charged for Sky Sports for any days before 19 June 2020
