It is not incorrect, I'm posting the advice as recommended by just about every manufacturer, you can take it or leave it.roddydogs said:0 -
I don't know which model years are MK3 or MK3.5 but every Focus user manual I've downloaded from the the main ford.co.uk site says the following "You must reset the tire pressure monitoring system after each tire replacement or after inflating the tires to the correct tire pressure. ". (Yes I know it says tire, but for soem reason you only get the US version when downloading from the Ford website). That was on MY 2015, 2018, and 2019.Scrapit said:
Thats what i was getting at, ive had both mk3 and 3.5. I have the manual in front of me for a mk3.5, you are only to reset the TPMS if the warning light is on and doesnt switch off after inflation. I dont have a mk3 manual to hand but im fairly certain thats the same having read it.neilmcl said:
You tell me. Just about every car user manual I've read for cars that have both types of TPMS have always said to reinitialise/reset the TPMS monitor whenever you pump up the tyres.Scrapit said:0 -

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I have burnt out 2 x ring compressors but I was a tad heavy in them. First time was trying to get to 90lbs on the DAF second one I was only aiming for 50lbs on the trailer stopped at 40lbs it still hasn't felt very well since.0

It was for cars with both direct and indirect TPMS systems. Also, the batteries should last up to 10 years.facade said:neilmcl said:I don't know which model years are MK3 or MK3.5 but every Focus user manual I've downloaded from the the main ford.co.uk site says the following "You must reset the tire pressure monitoring system after each tire replacement or after inflating the tires to the correct tire pressure. Mk3 includes 2014, mk3.5 came out on the early 64 plates, possibly earlier. The book i was quoting came with a 2018 model. I have only driven and read british models which are different to the yank versions. Im quoting verbatim. So no, you do not reset after every top up.neilmcl said:
