Your remark is invalid as I already said I had read manual but it was a lot to take in when I got the car and later assumed for some reason that the tyre senors sense the manufacturer recommended pressures.neilmcl said:
You should always perform a reset whenever you makes changes to the tyre pressures. RTFMDeleted_User said:Been out and reset the TPMS and that cleared the warning. Still going to buy a tyre inflator though as my trust in the forecourt ones go down every time I use one.
So read the !!!!!! thread first.0 -
That doesn't include normal tyre pressure maintenance, no need to reset for that.0

Also, chill out, the RTFM remark was clearly said in jest hence the smiley.0 -
I invested in a battery operated tyre inflator. It is much easier to use. Oasser Tyre Inflator £47.99 at Amazon

You tell me. Just about every car user manual I've read for cars that have both types of TPMS have always said to reinitialise/reset the TPMS monitor whenever you pump up the tyres.Scrapit said:0 -
Thats what i was getting at, ive had both mk3 and 3.5. I have the manual in front of me for a mk3.5, you are only to reset the TPMS if the warning light is on and doesnt switch off after inflation. I dont have a mk3 manual to hand but im fairly certain thats the same having read it.neilmcl said:
