I have spent all day doing the SH! It is almost done, just a few more boxes to sort. I have re-homed a dolls pram, some wooden puzzles, a father Christmas dolls house set, and a space hopper - but they need collecting. I have put a tiny tv and a coffee maker out the front and they were taken.
We are now doing a quiz with the running club. Have a good evening everyone!
Another photo..... not quite done!
The boxes on the right still need sorting.6 -
Thank you all xx Cotton anniversary.. he got me new bedsheets and I got him a tshirt.. and some fairies for the garden. We have decided we are not buying big presents for one another but putting the money aside for birthdays/christmas/anniversary/valentines so we can buy a summerhouse for the garden for next summer. We usually spend a silly amount at christmas and birthdays so we are doing token gifts.. with a strict budget (which will kill me!!) We are still doing mothers/fathers day as those are for the children not us.He has done the DW and a tip run for my mother .. I sent him to get wood filler on the way to my mothers so I can finish the toilet door.and I have stripped one side of a door, done 4 loads of washingand the girls vacuumed the stairs..
This evening we have a tesco delivery and I have knitting planned.. but new bed sheets!!!
I have the new door knob arriving tomorrow so Twinkle can escape the loo and the hallway paint.. still waiting for the wallpaper!!!! I am stripping the walls as soon as this toilet is as done as it can be.. waiting for the tiles for that still.

*Update* It looks like DH may have Covid.
Or it could be a very bad virus, although I do highly doubt it..but he's not at all well. He's going through tops like they are going out of fashion due to the amount of sweating he's doing. You can ring them out they are that bad. But he's also got the chills too, but I think that's due to the wet tops before he changes them. I've washed the bedding three times due to this too. It also doesn't help he has the existing problem that we went to A&E about..although it could all be connected I don't know. I'm going to call 111 or 119 today to see what to do next.
Fingers crossed and Flylady purple dust/vibes that he gets through this and doesnt end up in hospital.
So I've now taken up root on the sofa downstairs for my best night, although I don't seem to sleep as well.
Thank you all for caring. Hugs xxx

(((Hugs)) Natty and GWS wishes to your DH xx
Valli, I was asleep before you posted last night and got my full 8 hours' sleep!
Great work GI
Today will be
- write a few emails
- make a few phonecalls
- read a book
- not much else - not even knitting.
My right shoulder is still painful and now I also have a sprained left wrist (presumably as a result of trying to do everything left-handed) so i shall put a reclining garden chair in the shade, take some cushions and my thin blanket out to make it more comfy, set up the little table with drinks, book, K!nd1e and phone, and enjoy my colourful *tidy* garden. I will graciously allow DH to bring me coffee and tea at regular intervals, which will mean that he has to move out of his chair!
Hope everyone has a good day xx7 -
Morning xx
Hugs and purple dust to Natty and gws wishes to Dave xx
Day 1 of my week off. Wide awake at 5.15am, but didn't get up until 6.20am - I'm on holiday I want to lie inI seem to have perfected the art of being wide awake and worn out at the same time. I don't recommend it!
I refilled the bird bath before I went to bed last night and was rewarded this morning watching a blackbird take a bath, then a starling, a robin, and a baby sparrow came for a drink one after the other. So I started the day with a smileGot weighed and I've lost a pound - another smile.:)
Goodi - wow! What a difference. Would you like to come and sort my shed(s), RoD and cupboard of Doom? Only joking - I would have the screaming abdabs if anyone touched my stuff - no matter how well intentioned their motive. Your work is inspiring though xx
Going to be baby steps today - if I can fight my way through this brain fog
Round 1 =
breakfast and a second brew + maybe parrots (got a headache starting)
sort washing in to loads
Set first load swishing
get washed and dressed
feed the birds
put out recycling - not loads to do as I've kept on top of it this week
That'll do for starters.
Stay safe my lovelies.

Morning. Enjoy your garden today Ionafan.
Natty, please call 111 at least. The symptoms sound very similar to when my DH had sepsis last year.
Lacking motivation here today, but will report back if I achieve anything.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all
Hugs Natty xx and GWS vibes to your DH.
one of our neighbours (not sure who) had some sort of fire going in the garden late last night, our bedroom windows were open and the room absolutely reeked of acrid smoke, I am NOT HAPPY! DH and I ended up spending most of the night in the lounge as the spare room bed was full of his work gibble, he’s tidying that up today!
I hope this is not going to become a new thing for the warm evenings and it was just a one off, I know people need to use and enjoy their gardens but this was so stinky, god knows what they were burning!
Anyway, rant over, I’m up, showered and dressed, list is going to be made and will start tackling while it’s cool.
Have a good day all, back later with progress report xx7
