Good news kaz
Wishing you well abs
Yestersay was a very slow day where nothing much got done apart from a bit of admin stuff. I really need to crack on today especially the bathroom. Is it just me that struggles to do the bathrooms? I really really really don't like doing them!
Dd 11 has said she wants to grow something in the garden like flowers or something....I am the least green figured person in the world and we have no plants or flowers just grass that the gardener cuts. Please can I have tips? Also best plants to grow in pots/tubs in a garden that gets little shade? Thanks muchly

Thanks for the well wishes ladies, sat waiting to be called now in the waiting area. So so thirsty, I have some fizzy water in my chilli bottle which I can’t wait to enjoy later. Will bob in later x9

Well done, Mademoiselle - enjoy your new freedom (and your better sleep!)
I'm with you Fayolle - a good downpour would turn my lawn green again.
The highlight of my day today will be my appointment at the local tip to get rid of all the garden rubbish and some giant cardboard boxes that are currently cluttering up the front garden
My new plants are looking happyseedlings are coming up
and I am hoping to mow the lawn and get the waterbutts sorted this morning. Indoors is tidy if not spotless.
Two loads of washing are already out - drumroll please: I have washed the cushion covers for the first time in I don't know how many years- and DH's bedding is waiting to join them.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx8 -
Good morning!
I am just about to make a start on the toys in the summerhouse. There is a brisk cool breeze here today. We desperately need a good downpour too. Overnight would be good! No rain forecast this week or next though.
Ok - I will stop procrastinating and crack on!7 -
So far today I've taken the dog a walk and cleaned all the skirting boards, must do better
My wildflower border is coming along great and it looks like sun for the next week at least so i will need to water the garden which is unusual for the lake district.

Now having lunch and will probably have a lazy afternoon with my book in the garden until the prime minister speaks here late afternoon with hopefully some good news about relaxing travelling restrictions and opening a few more places.

I went to the allotment first thing and channelled my inner Italian by finally planting tomatoes (left over plants from the greenhouse), courgettes and squashes, and hoeing between the garlic! It was a somewhat focussed visit as I had to get back to fly....
Bathroom and ensuite cleaned (I’m definitely with you Meandthe2, hate the job and will put it off as much as I can, then wonder why), summer clothes finally brought down from the loft and winter ones up in their place. I now have an ironing pile to work through later.Hmmm, Ionafan, cushion covers...mine haven’t seen the wm in a very long time. Maybe one for my list.
Well done, Mademoiselle. I also work at a school for one morning a week and can only take time off in term time. I enjoy it, but from next summer, DD will not be at school, so DH and I won’t be restricted by school holidays. I think it is time for me to move over and make way for someone who needs the term time job. I just need to figure out when, as the money is a useful extra.Just finishing lunch, then it is off to the village shop for a few bits. DH being at home all the time is eating us out of house and home. I’m dreading him being off completely in a week or so - on more than level!7 -
20 minutes done in the garden, yes I know it needs hours and hours and days and weeks and months but you've got to start somewhere. I don't like gardening and can't see the point as it all gets overgrown again. I had the same approach to housework which is why my house was always a mess but slowly thanks to you lovely lot I have discovered that I can keep on top of the place and it is actually lovely to sit in a clean tidy room. I got on top of the house by dot to dot until I was inspired to join up all the dots so I'm going to apply the same policy in the garden, and when I get a bit cleared I might plant in it and keep it nice. The herb border has been good for a year or so now.
Now for a bit of crochet and a glass of water. It was hot out in the sun.

I’m here, a bit out of it, sore arm from canula, very achey but home in bed. Kids watching tv, Friday pizza is being brought forward to today as I’m too out of it to cook properly x8
