Creeping round the door to cheer for Kaz. And her cat!
And lots of good luck vibes to asb for tomorrow.
I did HHI this evening so that I could post on here this evening! Sum flying achievement for today.8 -
Great news, Kaz - very pleased for you
All the best to asb for tomorrow xx
I wrote a post at midday but never got round to clicking on Post Comment, doh! However, after going back to sleep until 8.00, I have had a productive day:
- 2 loads of washing
- sorted more stuff to go to the tip tomorrow: hope it will all fit in my little car
- put out all the plants I bought yesterday in the back border (which now looks 100x better)
- cleared and swept out the corner by the back door where all the leaves end up
- sorted the basket of gardening gloves, secateurs, watering can roses etc
- watered the garden twice
- hoovered through downstairs
- S&S'd the ensuite
- made some phonecalls
- took Rosie for her walk in the beautifully cool woods
- fed myself and DH (who left me in peace for a couple of hours this afternoon while he went out walking on the common and ate ice cream, then came home in enormous pain because he had aggravated his hip, so has been grumpy all evening)
Off to bed now. G'night all xx7 -
Brilliant news Kaz! It sounds like it will be a great house 😊
ASB I hope it goes well tomorrow
Well, I sorted the little shed. It is not too bad in there, although the floor has disintegrated along one side, so it needs replacing at some point. I have put 2 planters outside with a sign on for any takers, otherwise they will go to the tip. I tested the lawnmower - it works, so I don't know why DH never uses it 🤷♀️ (he always uses the strimmer instead). I have rehomed all of the tools from the summerhouse back into the shed. I also planted up a hanging basket as I found the bracket I had been looking for, and chatted to NDN over the fence. The garden was all watered this evening.
Tomorrow I need to put in a few hours at the allotment, and also sort the toys out in the summerhouse. I WILL get organised! It is supposed to be a bit cooler tomorrow so I need to take advantage of that!
Night night everyone! I hope the sandman visits the wide awake club tonight 😁8 -

Wide awake club checking in, this is frustrating now, I have another full day ahead and am pooped before I even start...
Congrats on the house kaz
I have a headache brewing too, I think I will get a cool drink and some parrots and then try again to get some more sleep. Back later x8 -
Morning xx
Brilliant news Kaz - and I am looking forward to a detailed account of your new adventure
Thinking about you asb - hope all goes well xx
Wide awake at 4 am againhaving been tired all day yesterday and, like Jill, felt out of sorts: not exactly ill but not well either. So now I'm expecting to feel bleugh today too. I've restarted taking Vitamin D in the hope that that MAD.
I'll feed the birds, fill the bird bath and put out the recycling before I trot off to the paid stuff.
Take care

Morning
Slept badly, what is going on with us all? Anxious about a full day at the paid stuff, already feeling tired and headachy.
But I am up, showered and dressed, and the bathroom is cleaned. Will pull up my big girl pants and crack on with it. Catch you later x7 -
Good morning all,
I duly joined The Club at 3.30am again. Fed up with this lark. It’s a day off from job 2 today. I ought to make the effort to get to the allotment relatively early to get some more plants in. Feeling decidedly cba atm. Flying has to happen today as the house is looking even more tired than usual. Sorry to all you sun lovers, but I need a good downpour to get me going again!Thinking about you today ASB.
Right, step one, get dressed...6 -
Morning, Big HUGS to those struggling in these strange times.
I'm up and going, so far
Bed stripped and in WM
Bedroom windows and mirrors cleaned
Shower cleaned
Clothes picked up and bedroom tidied, dusted
DW on, kitchen tidied
Banking and finances checked
Spoke to my boss yesterday and explained that I didn't want to teach the kids groups anymore. I actually love what I do but find the commitment too restricting. As of December neither of my girls are constrained to school holidays, my OH usually takes factory holidays but that has been shortened this year so he has more time to take when he wants and we want to be able to go when we want. No great loss financially as it was more to keep me busy. I feel so relieved now as we haven't been back to UK since November last year, we had several events planned for this spring which haven't happened and normally we pop over 3 or 4 times in spring and have visitors over here in the summer, which I don't think is going to happen. Now I know that once we can travel freely we can go rather than wait until the next school holiday. Result was I actually slept quite well last night, I hadn't realised how much it was bothering me.
Sorry enough waffle, back to bedroom with the hoover.
