Cac! I have just realised. Cancelled 2 jobs for nothing then. Oh well, it is a good lesson; read the details properly, do not rush, concentrate and stop multi tasking...oops toast is burning now.. Thanks everyone...
Yep, as Eeniesmum says, you print out the questionnaire to take with you and fill in immediately after the shop (once out of their sight) so you dont forget anything ... then when you get home, you log onto the Gap site and fill it in online and send it off to them.
I've done loads of Gap phone assignments. They dont pay a great deal but they are relatively simple and straightforward to do ... and I so definitely know which handset I want when I get my next upgrade!!!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Wow I managed to get my first job in about four months for GRG.
I logged in the second after receiving the mail and just accepted without even reading the brief once I saw I was eligible.
Is it my imagination or have GRG got far fewer jobs on the books now than they used to?
Strange cos i'm with TNS, Gap, RE, GkK, BARE and a couple others and yet I get more jobs with Grassroots than anyone else! Must be an area thing...i'm looking in Plymouth and in my first five weeks i've had more than double for GR than anyone else!Proud to be dealing with my debts:money:0 -
Even though you've editted this, I still can't work out what you mean! Mind boggles (or should that be the other end!...)
Have you ever suffered the pain of sitting at a bank interview with haemorrhoids? And what happens when they start bleeding and leave a mark on the chair? Do I then mark the bank down for having a wet chair?0 -
I don't think i'll ever be able to do a 'bank job' again without giggling to myself during interview after what you've just said ! :rotfl::jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0

I've just got the paperwork through from TNS including a P46
What section do I tick under "Your Present Circumstances?"
- A - This is my only job since 6 April etc ....
- B - This is now my only job, but since last 6 April I have had another job ...
- C - I have another job
I don't have another job (apart from Mystery shopping) so do I tick "C" and then declare earnings from TNS along with the other MS companies when I do my tax return?
Or do I say "A" and then again declare everything on the tax return?
Thanks
TG x

You give them the truth
Remember your other MSing is self employed (which is different to employed).
Unless you get payslips from any other MSing company, you need to tick A.
This means they'll use your tax code and you'll not (initially) get taxed anything until you file your tax return at the end of the year...0 -

Thank you. I hope you dont think I wasn't going to tell the truth!!
I just wasn't sure whether doing other Mystery shops actually counted as "having another job".
I don't get payslips from anywhere else, so I'll tick A.

A little bit more info on it for you:
If you'd have ticked C they'd have given you a "BR" tax code which means on everything you earn with them, they'd tax you 20%, regardless of the earning levels.
Having ticked A, you'll only pay tax through your employment with TNS if you earn over £435 in a month.
So - ticking A's actually logical as well as correct - usually with the tax man, the correct way is also the worst!0
