Wow that's ridiculous! I suppose it's Selfridges aiming at people who don't usually MS and think that a little contribution towards the meal they had is great!

I grabbed a non-meal one, and they want you to spend over £10 for a reward of £10. They say you can return the item later, but £10 for potentially 2 visits is a bit much so I cancelled.
  • I've just spent the best part of half an hour completing an assignment for Retail Eyes following a visit to a mobile phone store, and when I tried to save my work, the page came up unavailable and now I cant access the site at all. I bliidy hope my work has been saved otherwise Im going to be one very unhappy tractorgirl!!

Oh. There is now a message on the site.

Due to a system error the site is currently unavailable.

Hello. I have just signed up with my first mystery shopping company (Gfk) and wondered if you can really make money from it? I am getting offered loads of assignments, but have had to turn most of them down because the money was so bad. The fees for everything I have been offered has been in the £9-12 range. I have been offered several that are in towns that are about 30-60 minutes drive from me and once I have paid for petrol and parking (no free parking around here!) I can't see that I would have much left. The ones I have been offered in my home town have been ones where you have to spend quite a bit of time at the place which would mean that I'd be getting a couple of quid an hour. I don't want to sound grumpy, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Any thoughts anyone?

£9 to £12 for a job is pretty good actually. Some jobs only pay £6 or £7.

I do it mainly for something to do, to get out and meet people after being at home with the children for 6 years. The money is a bonus really.

No one is going to become a millionaire Mystery shopping!!! :rotfl: If you're wanting to make a fortune, try something else!

It's very good if the shops are local to you but not if you have to travel, some people do this full time

Hi all, I would like to start doing online surveys, could anyone point me in the direction of a list of reputable sites please? I'm only interested in the ones that pay real money and not competition/prize based ones. Many thanks.

Can anyone help? I've looked everywhere.
