  • I've only been registered for four weeks so maybe that's why then. Just frustrating that i'm not getting anything else with them.

I think in the first few months you are only allowed to do 5 shops anyway. Someone who has been with them longer may be able to confirm this. I still haven't dne any for them as busy doing bits and bobs for other ones.

But am booked to the eye balls for the next few weeks and am cancelling some jobs.

    Hi everyone

Fairly new to mystery shopping (done 2 assignments so far). This morning I've had an email from one of them saying that due to an 'internal error' the shop has had to be re-assigned (I had done the shop and submitted my paperwork) - what on earth does that mean? They did say I would get reimbursed for my efforts but was it something I did wrong? Getting worried now ! lol

    Any help greatly appreciated !
Is that corporate research by any chance? they will pay if you ask them though.

It is 5 for the first calendar month, 15 for the next few and 25 after that, which is the max for everyone. However they seem to be happy to assign on top of that if they get your e mail before someone selects the same assignment.

Regarding GAP, I'm confused about how to enter in my bank details, it seems to ask for some foreign type of account number rather than account number and sort code?

I'm an old hand at most of the sites on here, but am new to Storecheckers.
Does anyone have any experience of what are they like to work for?

Also, I know they do some Italian caffès, but wondered what genre of other visits do they do? I know names can't be named, but just wondered if they only did eateries, or if they shop supermarkets(?), or department stores(?) etc.

It says to enter it like this: 123456-12345678
(6 number sort code and 8 numbers a/c number)

i.e. take the dashes out of your sort code then put a dash before your account number

I wouldn't do that if I were you!

Obviously you would have to cancel if you were too poorly to do the job, or there was a death in the family etc.

If you are cancelling because you have overbooked and haven't the time to do them, then companies will take a very dim view and may sack you if you make a habit of it.

Think of it the other way round. You're a MS company and you think you've got the job covered, so you tell the client they will have their results by a certain date. Then someone cancels, so you have the nightmare of ringing round trying to find someone else to do the job, so you don't let the client down. It won't win you any popularity points!
Here I go again on my own....

Very nice company to work for and lovely people in the office.

They do require very detailed reports, including a narrative of everything that you did and observed in the store and word for word what was said in conversations with staff members.

This can be quite time consuming as it can be lengthy. It's not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoy it.

I have a Retail Eyes visit tomorrow. I have to take a photo of the store from the outside. It says I have to use a digi cam. I've just checked mine and it's not working properly. Can I use my phone cam or do I have to buy a new digi cam? Someone HELP! Thanks in advance.
