I am loving this forum of late, I am very jealous of Hollypears Mystery Shopping crew though!! as if you have mystery shopping friends!!!

Anyone in Dundee fancy a beer/coffee to slag off gapbuster and otherwise compare notes, email me guy@sleepywhisper.com

I don't live in Dundee but if you're offering a slagging off of GAP then I'll see you in about 9 hours! *off to find car keys*

The company you're talking about is by far the best company I've worked for.

They're the best thing since sliced bread, so I'll second that :)

Which MS company does the Bingo Halls?

    hello

Has anyone else been sent an email about availability audits with supermarkets? You have to go in and check and count stuff and talk to the manager. They're paying £12:eek:

Am I greedy/unrealistic to think this is ridiculously low? I wouldn't dream of doing that job for that!!!

I have done these sinders as they are straightforward and you fill the 'form' out as you go - so there is no work afterwards. And, actually its very quick to carry out the job (most of the time). :D

I too, agree about the supermarket audits - they take about 5 - 15 mins instore, so compared to other mystery shops they're quick and easy and just a spreadsheet with numbers to fill in.

Depending on the store and who's in to help, the SA will quite often do a bit of the work too - checking computer figures for you, for instance.
  • Please can someone tell me who does Bingo halls?

Although I haven't done one of these jobs before (but I know the one you mean), I would say that the fee sounds fine. Remember it's auditing and not MSing, so the talking to the manager is just part of the job, not something out of the ordinary.

The company you're talking about is by far the best company I've worked for. They treat their MSers with respect and the director (?) there is the nicest woman around and I'm sure I'd be agreed with by others on that!

Also, the economies of scale idea comes in here, too. I find that I do a number of jobs for them in quick succession and earn a lot for doing them - when you look at the hourly rate after doing the jobs, it's usually in excess of £10-15/hour.

While I'm talking about them, can I request that if anyone wants to know the company I'm on about, could they PM me (or sinderella) and ask? Only reason I say that is I think it's worth protecting the privacy of this company as they're so good and pay well - I would hate to damage that for them and their loyal workers (me!)!
Thanks Timmne, tried to click the thanks button and it disappeared!!

Thanks Cookinkmummy and Josie, I suppose I am nervous of it because you don't have the anonymity of msing. Also not good with spreadsheets but if it's so easy I might schedule it in- do you have to look really business like?
