Then I logged on to another site to find you are supposed to be offered discounts on 'Valentine Beats'. The photo makes it quite clear that what you are looking for is BEARS, not BEATS!!!
Sorry you had such a bad day - it does annoy me when they mess up!! I found the Valentine Beat shop too :rotfl:I did wonder why they had called the bears 'beats' I thought it might be something to do with heartbeats :rotfl:obviously I am cracking up and going mad :rotfl:
Also I had a call from RE confirming a MS date for next sat and they said they may well call me again just before the date to check that its still okis this a new thing? or can they judge my madness down the internet connection :rotfl:

I had a strange email today - subject: Assignment Due.
I thought I'd forgotten to do it, but it's for tomorrow and I must make sure I don't forget - well I hadn't and I haven't before, so I found it a but annoying TBHMSE GBBO 2015 - Go Alvin!0 -

Incorrect addresses are what I hate most. There is a shop on the Gap site that moved into the street round the corner in 2006. I kept reporting this on the forms until I last did it in March 07. I've been on maternity leave and I'm just starting back now, and I noticed the shop still has the wrong addressHere I go again on my own....0 -
I'm feeling really un-motivated at the moment; haven't logged on to any MSing sites for about 5 days now and I really can't be bothered! I think it might be due to Christmas and having 3 weeks off doing any shops at all and realising how much fun life is without MSing (until the money stops coming in at a guess....)
I think what might have killed it is Retail Eyes' RIDICULOUS drop in fees for certain restaurant chain shops by 30% and them expecting us to just accept it. What's more annoying is that people ARE accepting the jobs still which means 12 months down the line RE will have managed to scrap the fee all together and pay only a reimbursement, which is something GAP have managed to do already with some jobs.
The other thing that's put me off slightly is that I did a phone MS last weekend and I knew some of the staff in there from other MSs I've done as they must have transferred branches. This means that I'm actually getting known around my city so I get eyeballed every time I go into the shops I've visited! I actually got asked if I was "OK sir?" in a stationery shop TWICE last week - this is really offputting seeing as I've never done this shop and I'm not even sure this shop uses MSers!
Ahh well.....
Any encouragement from those still enthused?0 -
No encouragement from me!
I did 2 jobs today where I was supposed to enquire about making a large purchase, and go through the sales process.
In branch 1, the arrogant sexist man assumed ladies can't make these decisions without their husbands. Even though I pointed that I was the decision maker, and I point blank asked him for a price on the item numerous times, he refused to discuss offers and insisted I made an appointment to return with my husband
In branch 2, all the salespeople were busy, and there were people waiting to see them. As the wait would be long, I was given a brochure and advised to ring back and make an appointment to see someone.
So I never got to do the full scenario in either branch. I do hope I get paid, as I tried my best to get as much information as I could. Here I go again on my own....0 -
What a nightmare!!
Timmne - I haven't seen many jobs come up really so I guess you haven't missed much
I am going to do a few more MS til feb then I go on mat leave so I will have a few months off and after having baby I need to check with my employer regarding maternity pay and working from home as I really do not want to screw up my pay
The nice man from the tax office said it should be ok but I want to check firstSealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

Hi guys,
Most of you won't recognise me as I tend to lurk and read the posts most of the time, can I just say, this thread is an excellant source of information and I thank the posters here.
I have been mystery shopping since about August last year and doing not bad at it, it can be quite good fun!
Onto my question, I have done a job for Grassroots, and the breifing notes state after 20 minutes of not being served you should abort the job.
So, guess what, waited and waited and waited to be served but the only members of staff were with the same customers the whole time, so I had to abort the job.
I have sent all this through to Grassroots.
Had a look at the website but its not very clear.
My question is do you still get paid for these jobs?
Many thanks for any help,Thanks!!0 -

You should do!!!! Grassroots tend to be quite good, although I have noticed they have quite a strange payment system, and I have had certain assignments paid before others that were completed prior to the one I've been paid for. But if you ring them up (on their freephone number) they will be able to explain it all.0
