I asked this question as I had been turned down (for the second time in a row) for a competitor pizza job - i was told it was becasue the job had been taken in the time it took me to put it in my basket then complete the request for it.

I guess these ones go much quicker than the actual pizza jobs - I'd certainly rather do those ones!

That must be it, that makes the most sense :o

Thanks to others who gave me advice, but as I am new to MS, I don't really break any of the rules (second shop at same site, or twice in same month etc) cause I haven't done my 1st assignment yet!

I have got my 1st assignment tonight - RE - in the pub :T
    2nd Assignment Sunday - GAP - pizza!

Also got two others coming up :j Quite excited! I check the MS sites every day for more jobs. I wish there were other ones than fast food that I can do though, I'm trying to cut down a bit!

Has anyone had the problem I had this week. I didn't get my fee from OC. I rang them and it turned out they had accidentally switched part of the sort code round the wrong way. I rang my bank and the bloke more or less said "Well there's no way we can trace it as it has probably been paid into someone else's a/c so unless they ring and own up to receiving money they weren't expecting it's just tough luck.

I rang OC back and they were horrified as on a further check by them my bank had returned this money to OC a month ago and the accounts girl said the bank MUST have had a record of this and funds which cant be matched with customer name a/c number and sort code are always returned to the BACS sender and she doesn't understand how the bank gave me this !!!! and bull story.

I am tempted to phone my bank ( been with them since 1972!!!) and tell them I am taking my overdraft elsewhere. And I have a good mind to invoice them for the interest.

I am not sure the bank will have done anything wrong. Either the payment never reached them at all (The sort code was wrong from OC and this could be the method by which the payments are routed) hence the guy saying there is no record. Or the payment reached the bank (if it is sent to the bank itself then sorted out) but due to the incorrect sort code was sent back but because the sort code was incorrect the bank may not have the facility to search on this. So what the guy said sounds feasible. Had it been someone elses sort code and account number it could well have gone into their account and he may not have had any way of tracing it if the sort code relates to another bank.

The bit where he fell down is by not telling you that it should get bounced back to the sender if the details don't match.

I would say the fault lies firmly at OC's door for messing up the sort code to begin with and the advice from the bank was about 70% right.

I love the fact they used phrases like "Restaurant" and "Premium"!

When I received that email last time (about a month ago) I thought they were about to tell us they'd secured an amazing contract....

The "restaurant" and "premium" threw me there. For a moment, I thought
I was missing out on something. Phew!:D

LOL, I had that email too.
    Debt - Loan: £1150 C/C: £4763 @ 0%.

  • Interestingly, I had a call from a lady who told me it was "top secret".

I didn't catch the company she was from, but I've not heard anything since, but she was touting Gapburger jobs in a major city close to me that needed doing that evening.

She said she was going to email me with ones closer to my home, she never did though.

However she wasn't from GAP though, are they about to lose the contract then for these as well?
  • Gap aren't allowed to ring me btw, as I requested them not to, I kept ignoring their calls, it was getting ridiculous, calls galore for jobs I didnt want.
