    Royal Mail Survey

I too got the first letters and stamps. Really looking forward to freebies each month then before I had even posted the first letters they sent email saying too many people in my area already. Oh well just have to email people instead of writing letters!!!

    Grades

Does anyone know the various grades you get from the MS companies?
Does it make any difference to what jobs you get offered?
    Thanks

4 of the companies I work for have grading systems, for IMS and Bare Associates, the higher your score, the more work you get offered, with ISC you are expected to get good or very good, if you get less than that consistantly, you are not used again.

Retail Eyes have a scoring system which makes a mockery of those just mentioned and seems to have no relevance on the work you get offered. you lose points if you change the date, you lose points if the spell checker misses an error, you lose points if despite repeating yourself 20 times they need to phone you and clarify something and you also lose points because their website is down for maintenance and you can't get your report on. I get the impression they don't actually want anyone to have points at all which is why they give them, then prompty take them back. :D They have admitted themselves the scoring is meaningless but it is in place for when it does.

Last I heard, they are only recruiting new panellists from the EC or WC postcodes at the moment (and business panellists with an office franking machine)

I was accepted, received email this morning saying my first 18 stamps and pack is on its way, and so was my friend. Our post codes are CM and DA.

Got paid by Gap today. Only £12.05, there didn't seem to be many jobs in April!!

This month will be more. Over 10 times more actually!! May 2008 is, so far, my record month for MS!!! I've done loads of jobs for Gap, and quite a few for the other companies as well :T :T :T

Just been catching up on the board!

I too have done the new car survey. Gosh - that's hard work for the money. I have found negotiating for real much easier! Then it's remembering all the questions that you are supposed to ask. What with the travelling and then filling out the survey!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder people don't want to do it.

Doing a burger bar etc is so much easier and you are not starving all day!

I'm a bit behind on the board here as I had a well deserved break from this MS lark over the Bank Holiday weekend :D

I did some of these a couple of weeks ago and NEVER AGAIN! (I'm presuming these are the ones with BAI?).

Firstly, as is always the case with them, you apply and then just when you've given up waiting, you are assigned the job. This happened but I ended up with 12 of them in my local area and I had about 6 days to fit them all in!

I had an e-mail from them yesterday (generic one) thanking me for my participation. It did cross my mind that they've seen this thread with everyone saying that they had a horrible experience and wouldn't do it again, so they're just buttering people up lol.
I've never had an e-mail from any MS company before, thanking me for my work

I am looking for some advice on applying for MS work. Just wondering about the types of qualities to include on the application for the best chance of success.
I have had a look through this thread but couldn't find anything (though there are a lot of posts) so if it has already been covered apologies for asking and could someone point me in the right direction?

Had an email from RE asking me to phone them re a proofreading enquiry.

Tried phoning only for a recording asking me to phone during office hours. Maybe it's me but I always thought office hours were 9-5. It's 9:15 now.

What happens if I don't phone them, will they contact me?

Yes they will - my policy is that (as long as I'm sure I've done the report properly) I wait until they call me. They don't pay me enough to take time out of my other work to call them on my own bill!

Gap are losing it. Seriously. Last week, I had Sandwich and petrol shops in YORKSHIRE coming up under my area (I'm in Kent). Today I have Scottish supermarket shops! Gee it can't be too difficult to put them in the right place can it?
