Had an email from RE asking me to phone them re a proofreading enquiry.

Tried phoning only for a recording asking me to phone during office hours. Maybe it's me but I always thought office hours were 9-5. It's 9:15 now.

What happens if I don't phone them, will they contact me?

I suggest sending them an e-mail saying that you can't get through and can they e-mail back with details of what the problem is.

I have to wait until I finish work before I can make any personal phone calls, and I've phoned them at 3.30pm before now and there's a message saying the office was closed

This is a good one, I joined but got made redundant after two months as they said they had too many people in my area!

But, the free stamps made the sign up worth it . ;)

I signed up, was accepted and sent the first lot of stamps, then emailed the next day to say there were too many people in my area and I didn't need to do anything further! So I ended up with 18 stamps for nothing!!

Ok this may sound like a silly question - but does nayone know which MS company has paid today?

I have a payment gone into my account and I don't know who it's from! I have only been MSing for the last month so I think that rules out most companies who pay at the end of the following month (I'm expecting lots of payments in June!)

It doesn't tell me who it's from as it has only gone in today. Nice surprise though!!

Could someone tell me how I should fill in my TNS mileage expenses....
I have an allowance of a few pounds, and I cycled 1 mile (20p) and got the bus for £2.90; does cycle & bus count as 'mileage'?

I haven't done any work for GFK lately and obviously haven't been paid so you could be right!

    Hi All
Wondered if anyone could help? I’ve been MS’ing for a couple of years and this week I did a big supermarket shop and I’ve got a little supermarket shop coming up both for TNS. I’ve never done these before and am a bit confused.

I received the ‘shopping list’ for the big supermarket and presumed I had to buy these items, as on the questionnaire it asked ‘are these good enough to buy?’. However on the little supermarket shop it gives a smaller shopping list, for example X, Y and Z, and also asks ‘are these good enough to buy’ but it also states ‘please select your shopping making sure you purchase a bulky item such as X or cereal’. Does this mean I don’t have to purchase the items on the ‘shopping list’ – or just check to make sure they are good enough to buy?

I did the big supermarket shop earlier in the week and of the 6 items on the list, all were good enough to buy but it cost me over £10 to buy them all. The reimbursment was a lot lot less than this. Fortunately they were all items I will use. Just wondered if I could buy something else on the little shop I’ve got coming up as to be honest I won’t use any of these items.
