Pleaaaase somebody support me here and say "Gap We Love You". Anyone? Anyone at all? Oh Well It looks like I am on my own on this one :o :rotfl: :rotfl: I admit that I am just as happy with them all and like seasprite has said it does all become too much waist of time after a while especially these endless Hours online.
My resolutions? I am having days off, I will never aver do a pub again never or a shop that I am not sure what it is exactly they sell ;) !!

GAP have always been OK with me. I do a lot of coffee shops for them, and find these reasonably paid. The staff are really nice when they ring up.

I have always been straight with them, as well - I emailed them on 2 or 3 occasions and said something along the lines of 'I'm an idiot - now I look at the receipt I find I went to the wrong shop :o' (WHY don't shops have a number on the front?) I know this sounds weird, but I have done over 100 coffee shops for them, all in Central London, and some of them are so close together that it's easy to make a mistake. If anyone doesn't understand this, I suggest they try to find all the coffee shops around the Liverpool Street area, in the new developments which aren't shown on Google maps.....

Mind you, I'm worried that having said that GAP are actually good I will probably get fired now - I know several people (from online forums, not in real life) that I consider good and reliable shoppers, who have been fired from GAP for no apparent reason. And I was 'fired' from shopping coffee by another company, as the client apparently wanted to refresh their shopper panel. (The client subsequently fired the MS company! :rotfl:)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Arghh yes! Just had 3 emails about a report I did for RE. All my new replies began with " As previously stated in my report...!". I had to type a very long one the other day for a phone shop. Way too much detail. It became quite descriptive, simply to pad it out a bit!

haha! I find I do exactly the same thing for Storecheckers. Halfway through the report every other question I answer starts: "As I have explained above..."; "As commented on in question X..."; "To repeat my previous explanation/comment..."

    Be careful!

I know that with RE, Storecheckers and IMS, that the form you type in is the form that the client gets. I've seen the paperwork up in shops that have been MS'ed and I've been in doing merchandising work. I like having a bit nosey at staff notice boards :o

I'm sure there are admin staff of the relevant companies out there sitting cursing you for putting sarky comments in that they will have to edit out!
Here I go again on my own....

Extra extra nice, but don't mention the word Londoner, since it can't go in the same sentence.:D
We are originally from Birmingham (where the nice genes come from) and we are in London temporarily to do some Gap visits.

I'm a fan of Gap too. In the main I find them OK. :T

I usually do a handful of mobile phone shops each month for them, but I only do the ones that are in places where I'd be anyway so it doesnt cost me anything in petrol. The jobs are the same each month so I know them off the top of my head and the questionnaires are simple to do.

I do coffee ones for them too, again only choosing jobs in towns or places that I'm going to anyway.

I'd like to do more work for them but they don't seem to have as many jobs as they had when I started MS-ing last June.

So those of you that don't like Gap - please feel free to go ahead and boycott them, and release more jobs for l'il old me!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Me too! I like Gap - I think I said, last week sometime, when people were saying about them only accepting glowing reports, that I've only ever been honest and sometimes they query things, but only in a nice way. I was in a bank when they rang and we were laughing because she said it sounded like a creche because it was full of children wailing!

The 1st time I got a query I was worried I'd done something wrong, but they just wanted a bit more explanation about something and it was fine.

Have to say tho, my favourites were the stamp shops, so may not love them so much in future, but I do pizzas, petrol, convenience stores and bookies (at least that firm allows women to visit).

I don't like the fact they go on all at the same time, tho as the system slows down so much and if you can't get on that day you've missed most of the month's work.

No, all in all I'm happy with Gap - the pay could be better but hey, in general the questionaires are quick and easy to complete - tick boxes and they don't need loads of extra comments or anything - you get what you pay for in this world!

Similarly I don't travel to them, although I do travel a bit for work and over 100 miles to watch my footy team, so do some en route there and nothing out of my way.

So you're not alone Leila1, jobbing musician and Tractor Girl - looks like we cover England amongst us as I'm up north!

Meant to say, on the subject of firms changing mystery shopping companies, there's a new one on Gap today that I haven't seen before, for some cafes.

I looked at those as there are some near me but you have to be escorted onto a military base to do the visit. Surely that means they'll know who the shopper is? Might pass on that one.

For the record I like GAP too and have never had any problems but I never do greasy burgers or fried chicken. That said I am tempted to ask for a receipt in the greasy burger shop and watch the floor showlaughing-smiley-014.gif

Another thumbs up for gap from me:T Never had any problems with them.
Have given numerous bad reports about greasy burger and had no comeback from them.
Apart from the great napkin scandal:rotfl: but thats another and private story.
