Lost the list you say?
Might just ebay the odd item to recoup some of the things they've refused to pay for in the past then

Just a word of warning - if you actually state the weight/temperature are out of specified range, then you get an email back from GAP querying absolutely everything else, and asking you to confirm that you used the equipment properly - in a very suspicious tone! Anyone else had this?0

No but I totally believe this is what they do!
(Moaning a lot today) - You should only ever submit a GOOD report for GAP, otherwise they have to work harder!0 -
I think it's US that has to work harder...!
Funnily enough, I've never had any problems with coffee weight and temp since that day!0 -

The training says you should always take the temperature first, then weigh it, otherwise the time taken to weight it could make the difference between it being within the acceptable temperature range or not. The temperature must be taken within the 2 minutes, weighing it can be done outside this timeframe as the weight of the drink will not change.
 yes, you are quite right, this is the correct order you should do the job in, which is stated in the training, after a while though, you get a bit complacent and I got the whole lot down to a fine art of weighing and probing all within 2 mins, I did the same shops time after time and you get used to knowing where you can dash and hide in a corner, I even resorted to using a flat bottomed laundry bag once when I went somewhere new, I am sure people thought I was a "bag lady" or a tramp :rotfl: :rotfl:"Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0 -
You fail to mention the very important bit
All this must be done AWAY from the shop, not actually in it!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: very valid point, thank you
Can you imagine the looks you would get "Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0 -

Too true; they seem to struggle with the truth. I had an immediate email querying some food timings and a mucky fuel shop. I told them I can only tell them what I see!:rolleyes:0 -
Picking up on what a lot of us have commented on the burger jobs, I had a querey back from Gap.
I did a MS on a Saturday lunch - that they had phoned me up on the Friday and just about begged me to do.
So changed some plans and did it.
Got the usual once I requested a recipt - bring it on. I was found a table, cleaning went into overdrive. Balloons apeared, I got asked at least 4 times if my food was ok.........
Hubby who was the other side of the place could not believe it!! he also said as soon as I walked out then it all stopped and everyone went back behind the counter - again something we have all commented on millions of times.
So get this querey - saying the manager had recognised me..... hardly surprising wonder how many people ask for a receipt on a Saturday lunch - then make the comment I ate the non burger part first!!! which is just something I would never do. Not as if I gave them a bad report, apart from the usual burger falling apart when you eat it - they just don't look like th ads!!!
so I have responded to their email but I think this will be the last.:mad:0 -
I have to question how intelligent the management there are - if you know who the MSer is, don't tell anyone ESPECIALLY NOT GAP! As soon as GAP verify you're the person the store thinks you are, they bar you from doing that branch again.... If I were the management, I would keep schtum and wait for the lucky MSer to come back next time!
What really bugs me is when the MSing company feel they have to verify things with you (something seasprite mentioned) as they immediately think you're the one who's wrong, not the greedy manager who's trying to maximise their bonus! :mad:0 -
I can't see the point of this! from what I know they pay MS companies a lot of money so they can get accurate reports on customer service to help them improve their standards. The mystery goes when we ask for the receipt and we get special treatment which we are obliged to report.
The managers are not stupid Timmne they know that if they dispute the reports, the MSers will be the one who pay. They can always spot the next one when they ask for the receipt.
When I do these, I report exactly what happens every time i.e.: the before and after the receipt.
Not all shops are like this though, some just carry on as normal even when they know they are MSed.0
