Does anyone do any work for Optimum Contact? I've just been looking at the bulk surveys. It says for one of them that the fee paid is £X.XX and that there are over 800 available. Does this mean you get paid £X.XX for ALL the 800 or is that the fee PER survey/call?

    Thanks

I think you take them as you please and get paid for each one you complete - not tried it myself yet, I'm building up the courage! :D

2 Bank holidays will naturally delay the payment by 2/3 days. I have been assured by GAP, the payment was processed on the 20th, like it usually is. (last months was late due to computer failure)

Thanks for the update, but I'm not sure I agree with what Gap are saying here. If you think about it, have you ever been paid late by your main employer because of a bank holiday? Me, personally never in 28 years of work, so no, I don't buy they're excuse! Just a convenient way of them hanging onto the money a bit longer, if you ask me!

    OK, so who's grumpy now?!?:p

    GAPs website states as below:
"When do I get paid for my evaluations?

We process our shopper payments fortnightly - on the 15th and 30th of each month. Here's an example of how our payment works:

If you shop between the 1st-14th of a given month your payment will be processed by the 30th of that month.
If you shop between the 15th-31st of a given month your payment will be processed by the 15th of the following month."

That bit is out of date, there is "a recent" version:

    Q. When do I get paid?

GAPbuster payments are processed on a monthly schedule. The approximate payment dates for all countries are as follows:
    USA and Canada 20th
    UK 24th
    Australia & NZ12thAll other markets 20th

Here’s an example of how the payment schedule works:
    • If you shop between 1st and 31st of a given month, your payment will be processed around the 20th of the following month.
Note: Please allow up to three working days for the transaction to clear in your account. The length of this delay will vary depending on the conditions set by your financial institution.

This is the important bit. If the UK banks are closed on Friday 21st and Monday 24th of April, therefore not "working days" and depending on your bank, Saturday is not always a working day either, if GAP process the money on Thursday 20th, the 3 working days doesn't officially end until 27th April.

As for not being paid because of a bank holiday and in the 8 years I worked in Retail and got paid weekly, I never got paid on Good Friday, it was always doubled up the following week.

I've searched this thread but I haven't found the answer to my question. I've got my first MS appointment tomorrow, but as yet I've had not given the company any details about how to pay me. Do they tend to ask before or after the first job? I would have thought before... If it makes any difference, the company is Assosia.

Assosia will send an invoice out about 3 weeks after the job is completed.

Just a little note about this company, they have very strict confidentiality rules and don't like anything about them or their work discussed on a public forum, the staff there are lovely and no matter the question, they would rather you asked them, than on a forum. It this isn't possible, it is best to PM someone rather than make a public post.

It's the price you get paid per completed survey and it includes expenses for the telephone call.

You don't get paid for calls where the survey isn't completed, such as when the person is too busy to speak, etc.
Here I go again on my own....
  • Hi everyone, just thought I would say that I read the whole thread and it didn't take that long (well a few evenings but it was more interesting than many shop briefs), lots of good info hiding in there as well, and really helpful so thankyou everyone... I hadn't done a shop for about five years and did my first one last week - I fell straight back into the barefaced lying, it was great :rotfl::rotfl:
