They're good points, maybe reverse paras 2 & 3 and highlight the one job = tax issues and that it is a tough job - see rest of thread?0

I found reading through it all quite amusing too! Listening to how you old timers are now so good at changing character (or lying through your teeth!), the near misses, almost getting caught out and how to avoid/overcome it - those things you don't really get practical help with from the companies themselves. I've never done a fast food joint, but just listening to the fanfare just makes me want to ask for a receipt on an ordinary day even though I don't need one!!0

Maybe a little...
:rotfl:I wasn't consciously feeling grumpy, honest!!! Anyway, delighted that the 'grump' post has had lots of replies and generated an excellent outcome!!! Many thanks to all, especially Timne and redcar!
Also wanted to say that the last person who asked the 'basic' questions shouldn't feel got at - it was just the latest in a very long string!! There are still loads of interesting questions and experiences out there from us all to learn from, I'm sure!!!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Ah peace and happiness in MSland again! Leaves us all free to be the dirty lying scoundrels we need to be to do the job. :eek:Geeves1980 wrote: »I found reading through it all quite amusing too! Yep asking for a receipt anyway is def recommended just to keep them on their toes and help disguise real MSs. Also give them a good 'badge stare'. :cool:0 -
Ha ha yes just start freaking people out looking for the colour of their eyes and their name badges for no other purpose than my own amusment! Although some of you men MS's need to be careful with that- some would just think you are perving!0

Have to thanks to Timme for the first post. I have telephoned and become self employed for my mystery shopping job. I was informed that if my 1st job had been on 6th December then I would have until the 31st of this month to fill in these details. Glad I have filed in all the details in time s would hate to get fined for doing a couple of MS jobs.
Thank you for all you help.January Grocery 11/3740 -

LOL, I've had that problem, although it was a man I was staring at.
I remembered his name, sat down to eat then realised I couldn't remember the correct spelling (it was a foreign name). So I went back up to the counter, asked the person something about their opening hours, whilst staring at my original servers name badge (he was stood behind the chap I was talking to). The guy looked quite freaked out!0 -
Gap pay is going to be late again this month, I have read on another forum that it will be either Wednesday or Thursday or even later.
