Thanks guys.
And for this job I HAVE to pay by debit card. It must also only be from the ones on the list for it to reimbursed. So yes will use mums :T .0 -

FatMan, I can fully sympathise with you, about how you feel about the loss of the job. I do this line of work full time and I am registered with quite a few companies, some I get more work from than others. Should any of them give me the sack, I too would be quite upset, no matter how that situation happened, sometimes it is the shoppers fault, other times, it is just a break down in communication.
I know quite a few companies who had tight deadlines over the Easter time, but all of them had timescales when they could be contacted if necessary, for a company to stipulate jobs must be done with no back up what so ever, it seems they were passing on their own failings to their Field Workers.
I used to be an allocator for a company who always had work done over holiday times, so know how frustrating it can be when shoppers either don't do the work, or fail to follow instructions or just don't know what to do, but it is so unprofessional to take it out on anyone else apart from yourself, if there is a lack of understanding, that comes from the person who issued the instructions in the first place.
I suggest you leave the dust to settle, give it at least a few days after the project ended, then get in touch (by phone) and see if you can chat about the misunderstanding, if they won't budge, then move onto the next company, there are plenty of good ones out there."Dogs come when they are called. I agree - I've cancelled a couple with Gap for one reason or another and they don't appear to hold it against me.
I've a few cancelled ones showing on my account - one I tried to do too soon after previously doing that place and rather than just rejecting it, I accepted it in my basket and then it appeared as cancelled / rejected immediately. There were recently 3 that were cancelled for me, as they'd been taken over after I'd selected them, so they show as cancelled / rejected too and the couple I've cancelled myself. I don't think anyone looks too closely at this, so wouldn't worry.
With GAP, RE, IMS, GR and probably quite a few more, you have a "hidden score" where all the cancelled jobs are totted up, the cancelled jobs are broken down into sections so the ones they cancelled do not get put with the ones shoppers cancelled. With most companies you just get offered less work if you end up cancelling too many jobs, with GAP, you get the sack. They don't warn you beforehand, they just delete your ID and password from their database. No, this has not happened to me, but it has happened to a lot of people I know, who cancelled jobs without any explanation.
So, if you feel you have to cancel, send an enquiry first, then at least they have a reason for you doing so, otherwise they will think you just took the job without thinking about it first. The other thing which people don't realise with GAP, is they are quite flexible with date / time changes, send them an e-mail stating what date and time you could do the job and there is a good chance they will be accomodating, providing it falls within the specified dates."Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0 -

well I'm not holding my breath .........
The pass rate score is supposed to be around 75%, but it all depends on what they are looking for at the time. I have now applied twice and been rejected twice, the first time, I didn't get 75%, the second time I did, and was still rejected, I pushed for a reason why and was told I filled in the questionnaire with too much detail, I was advised to forget I had 10 years experience and fill it in how TNS would like me to fill it in :rotfl: :rotfl: , I will probably try again this summer, I am having surgery in 6 weeks, so no point in applying again before then.
Good luck and if you don't get in first time, they don't mind you trying again.........and again........and again "Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0 -
I am just applying for another mystery shopping company and they are asking on the application form for the names of the other companies that I shop for. If I answer this am I breaking the T&Cs of the other companies that I work for? Help appreciated!:heart2: Katie & Benjy - I'll meet you at Rainbow Bridge......:heart2:0
